This was 100% due to doing conditioning, RDLs, squats, snatches and cleans with our strength coach Ty Stenzel.

The lift or the jersey chasers?  ;)

Glad to know I am not the only one that snickered at that! 8-)

I snickered 69 times.

What predictions do we have for the Johnnies webcast on Saturday?  Single cam or multiple?  Replays or not?  Will the audio be in sync w/ the video?
Thoughts?

I reckon it will be perfect.  Two cameras.  Synced audio.  Replay.  Graphics.  The fact that this sneaked up on us with no fanfare makes me think it will be spectacular.  It will be to DIII internet broadcasts what the Johnnie game day program is to DIII programs - Best in class.

I think best in class belongs to Wabash at the moment. That's what I recall from last year, at least. Whitewater's is pretty good, too.

Touchdown Tommy

Just logged on to say hello to all my pals.  The forecast for Saturday looks fantastic.  Five years is much too long.  It's time for the Johnnies to get back to the dance and do some damage.

Hey Benchwarmer:  will you be at UST on 9-27??  Hope nobody finds out that Caruso is a Nickelback groupie before the game!!  Shhh, our little secret.

Hey BlueDevil Bob:  why don't you join the tailgate party next week at UWEC?  6pm kick, I'm sure there will be plenty of trouble!!  Rumour that the Little Wiener Doggie aka Veek may even leave Morrison County for this roadie...

2014 Bold Prediction:  Bethel will play for the walnut & bronze in Salem.

Chasing MILFs since '82...

From Frank's article in the SC Daily Planet:

* Running back Michael Diggins, who transferred to Wisconsin-River Falls after playing for the Johnnies as a freshman, tore an ACL this preseason and will miss the year, Falcons coach Matt Walker said Thursday.

What a game!  A hard, hard game between the Cats and Hawks tonight but the Hawks are tough and run out four quarters of footy and Geelong finally fell away as the third quarter closed out and Hawthorn won going away, 104 - 68. That's adouble the biggest margin between these two teams in seven years.

I hope it's a good premonition for this weekend. Go Johnnies!

Some champagne Hawks footy

Will Coborn's cart races be shown at halftime?  The CSB Dance Team?  Or fixed on the scoreboard for 15 minutes?

Stay home and find out!

Far too many commercials to run during half time to be showing cart races or the scoreboard. Sponsors, new advertisers, old advertisers. They will have a few during the game and I'm sure they will hit you hard at halftime.  Don't deny it.

Gosh, I really hope the video webcast for you johnnies is a POV camera shot from inside the pressbox, right next to your game-day announcer! ;D It would be great, each time he tells the crowd to turn to page 37 and view an ad brought to you by Corborn's, the POV camera shot opens the game-day program and allows the viewers watching to see what they are missing from inside the 'Historic Clemens Stadium!'  ::) ;)

But joking aside, I'm sure the new webcast will be good.  And call me crazy, I actually only prefer the camera angle from one view during the game.  Of course, panning in and out is always better.... but for inexperienced cameramen, it's painful when watching and mid run they attempt to capture from the sideline view only to miss the action completely......

Tough crowd here.  First no one is happy because they don't have live stream video, and no one is happy with it now that they do have it.  Personally, I'll be there with my "Circle me Gary" sign.

I'm more along the same lines...I don't mind when there's just one camera, as long as it is a relatively clear picture... the image quality from some of the schools (Augsburg, Hamline) has just been terrible.  Difficult to follow the game on their webcasts in the past.

Perhaps I'll find on Saturday that Augsburg acquired some better equipment to go with their new video board.  Very interested in how that game turns out.

I'm betting I'm not the only BU fan in the stands on Saturday night at the Augsburg/Wartburg game. I, too, am wondering how the new video board will affect my viewing habits.

I'm glad that opening weekend is finally here!

If I remember correctly the new scoreboard upgrade was equipped with more/higher quality cameras that will upgrade the webcast. I clearly recall that we have a new sound system to go with the new scoreboard and I am also looking forward to this game! I like the scheduling idea of bringing in Wartburg which is a natural rival (wrestling) and a ranked team. Look for a big effort from Augsburg to win this one. Go Big or go Home!
