Yeah, not a good day for Stretch - they had problems with games all over the country.  Pat gave up on trying to watch a couple of games, and it took me all the way to halftime to get the IWU video feed.  Of the 11 TDs in the game (IWU 42, Franklin 35 ;D), I saw the grand total of zero.

I sent stretch an email with my complaint  - I saw a total of 11plays with many refreshes and not a score by either team. Last year I could at least get the guys on my computer on audio - today nothing but a few plays. What I got was good however. Kind of like them letting you smell the cork.

Glad I was in attendance!  ;D.  SJU looked much improved over last year (although I don't know how good of a test UWRF was).  The Johnnie ground game was dominant.  The o line controlled the game, and Sura and his backup (Taylor?) were impressive.  The Johnnie defense looked much improved, too, maybe regaining a bit of Johnnie swagger.  There were a few things that need work, and they never even opened the air game up, but I liked what I saw!

A tradition unrivaled...

Back and forth between Wartburg's destruction of Augsburg and Olaf's battle against UNWSPSFJIPSDF.

Gotta say, the Eagles field looks nice and the video quality is really good. Super crisp picture.

Wartburg dominated the game and outplayed Augsburg all night. Wartburg looks like a very solid team. I can't think of a single weakness in the 1's and 2's. Never saw the punter outside of him warming up on the side lines. Maybe he is the weak link but I doubt it. Bethel will have a battle on their hands next week, Wartburg looks like a top tier D3 team as well.  The All American tackle is a dominating player, the QB has a strong, accurate arm, the receivers run good routes and catch everything, the running back Doemeyer is excellent and they make very few mistakes. No weaknesses.

Augsburg will need to make some adjustments in the next few weeks. On a positive note the scoreboard is very cool, maybe it will help with recruiting.

Hey all! I didn't see any other Cobber representation, so I thought I'd at least give a token chime in. Concordia rolls yesterday vs. Jamestown U in a game I wasn't even all that hepped up about. Aside from a couple ball drops, all cylinders were firing smoothly.

Best to all on another fun season!

We did make the game and sat right next to Wartburg's starting center's (#52 Casey Krull) parents. Wartburg did look good and I concur that Bethel will have a tough first outing on the road in Waverly.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beAG8iisKc4&feature=youtu.be  Welcome to the jungle St. Olaf.  We ready.

Looks sharp! Wish it had visitors bleachers. As a player I hated places like Olaf, Carleton, etc. that only had one side of bleachers because it can make for a stale environment. But I'm not sure how they could have fit them in. That issue aside, it's a good looking facility and a major upgrade.

I wonder what sort of role it plays in the game Saturday. Boost for the Eagles against Olaf? I think this game will be a lot closer than people assume if they just look at conference affiliation. That said, sometimes a 'big game' like that can get players overly hyped. Fun to see how it plays out.

Not to overstate the matter, but this is a must win for Olaf and Stern. A loss to the Eagles and Olaf is looking at a real possibility of starting out 0-8.

I think the crowd was an advantage for the Eags last night.  Definitely not stale, I'm sure the Oles had no trouble hearing their own fans even though they didn't have bleachers behind their sideline.  The absence of a track brings the fans so much closer to the action.

Olaf will definitely struggle again this year.  Penz made some nice throws on the run but they looked disorganized at times.

What the H? How can I get video, or at least the audio for the game. New Year, I'm confused.

Ok, all.  Video quality and audio was excellent.  Capacity was horrible.  If improved, then it will be spectacular.  Links available at gojohnnies.com

Not bad for the first game of the season. Definitely some things to improve.
I'm glad I was able to watch most of the game.

My suspicion is that Stretch just didn't know what they were getting into.
I would be interested in hearing what kind of viewership the webcast had.

Stretch was having system-wide issues. It was not related solely to broadcasting the SJU game. Hah!

I love finals footy.  All the games are played hard.  Richmond may have been pounded by Port Adelaide on Sunday but it wasn't for a lack of courage on Richmond's part:
