Looks like Martin is day-to-day after a concussion against UWEC.
Voshell is out 4-6 weeks minimum after suffering a fractured ulna and radius in his left forearm Saturday.
Matuska is awaiting the results of an MRI.

Second game & already two starters out for the season (most likely for Voshell)- this is where depth will be tested. Rob has had an unfortunate injury riddled career at SJU. I wish him well & hopefully if he comes back late in the season, the games mean something....

Benson needs to prepare like he is starting. Every back up needs to prepare like they will start, even though they may not play at all or just a few minutes.

It's Cobber week. Usually no smack talk, just a lot of mutual respect between squads.
Nick Martin has had quite the injury riddled career at SJU as well.

Maybe a new story line is developing, Benson comes in and continues the Gagliardi lineage for the Johnnies.

I am clearly now channeling some of you guys! I just sent an angry email to Tom Stock. Since I missed listening to VOJ in the second half of last week's game, I thought I would listen to the archived game. I was interested to hear what the Johnnies announcers would have to say about Sam Sura's performance. Well, not only was Stretch an epic fail when it came to broadcasting the game live, there is no archive of the game to listen to later (at least that I could find). Stretch is making the piece of crap computer program we use at work look like money well spent! :P

I just notice that I wasted my 1500 post complaining about Stretch...

Go Johnnies! ;D

Up for a doubleheader?
Open invitation to come check out the new Reynolds field Saturday night at 7.  Should be another nice night weather wise.

Based on this new video, I think we might have beaten Olaf by 100.  I expect the Martin Luther game to be a little closer.  Their QB ran for 253 yards last week.

Pat Coleman

Stretch generally has a very good reputation and with the exception of their 2014-15 rollout, I've had great experiences watching their video. I hope it was an aberration.

I went to a few Stretch games today to see if they'd resolved their issues. SJU soccer was as glitchy as the last weekend's FB ... as were other live events. Meanwhile, non-Stretch events streamed fine.

I'm hoping Pat will unleash his huge reporting staff to find out if this will be resolved by Week 3.

I just checked Stretch's Facebook page and there is no mention of the problems.  Oh, youngsters that run Stretch... you should know the power of the Internet's social media.  You can't hide when you're an online platform.

According to Frank,  Nick Martin was back at practice on Thursday but the starter at QB for Saturday will be a game time decision.
Also,Drake Matuska is out 2-5 weeks with a bad knee. Andrew Rose is back in the lineup, but Carter Hanson could play both inside & outside linebacker on Saturday.

As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Doesn't really matter from what I saw from stretch the Johnny's running game looks good! But with no pass threat might be very 1 dimensional and easy to game plan for. Any way it sucks to have a bye week to plan for the Johnny's...I know I am a week early for Johnny Tommies week, but can't wait for pay back!  By the way Knobs Creek is my Broubon for the last month...not bad!

As you're a week early...

A Johnnie supporting trucker is driving down the highway when he sees a priest hitch-hiking. He stops to pick up the priest, but he has a few misgivings about giving him a ride as usually when the driver sees a Tommie supporter on the road he runs them over. But with a priest in the truck, he wouldn't be able to carry out his favorite pastime.  But being a good bloke, the truck driver decides to pick up the priest and forgo his fun for this one trip.

Just after the priest jumps into the cab they come across a Tommie supporter hitchhiking.  The diver decides to swerve to avoid the Tommie supporter but hears a huge "BOOM!"  The driver looks over at the priest, who says, "Don't worry - I got him with the door!"

Your spelling hasn't improved - it's Knob Creek," but maybe your taste has. Knob Creek is one of my faves as well. I also discovered 1792 from Ridgemont Reserve. Maker's Mark is another. By far (IMHO) the smoothest I've had is Jack Daniels Single Barrel.
