Congratulations to Pat on 17 years of d3sports.  You've certainly made it easier to follow d3 across the country.  And added a lot of fun.  I've met many people through the boards that I now consider friends.

Looking forward to another 17 years.
Amen. Living in western Colorado, I was isolated from D3 sports especially JOHNNIE football. I also met a lot of people and had a lot of fun. Well done.  :)

Also, Bethel is a pool C lock.

Of course that's assuming they don't get upset by Augsburg this week.

The Scots are getting a little delusional over in the MWC board:

Pat,

Based on where the Macalester program was...nearly extinct...10+ years ago under a president at the school that was trying to run the program into the ground, I think MAC fans would welcome a first round playoff game at St. John's.  First time Macalester plays back at St. John's is in the first round of the playoffs?  Sounds pretty fun to me.  In one game, anything can happen.  "That's why they play the games."

Besides, it just might be a good game...St. John's vs Macalester.  Last year St. John's narrowly escaped Hamline at...at St. John's: http://www.d3football.com/teams/Hamline/2013/index

Then Macalester shut out Hamline the very next week:

No Way! Bethel wants dibs on MAC first round!! We haven't had a bye since week 1 ;D 8-)

We are all putting the cart before the horse here, but the prospect of a MAC playoff game is too tempting to resist.

Oh absolutely! Bethel is a tough win and a long wait from playing anybody. But MAC fans rubbing their hands together at the prospect of facing the champs from the conference they didn't have the guts to rejoin...you can't pass up that material!

It would be 3 more on that list  if not for those pesky restraining orders...... ;)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

105, I think you've confused me with TDT.  Since both of us are Anoka Tornadoes I can I can partially understand the confusion.

No one has filed a restraining order against me in at least 10 years.   ::)

Bethel's in trouble. They need UWO and Linfield to win. And it's be nice if the Cobbers snuck into the past ranking.

EDIT: The more I look at it, I think Bethel is staying home (assuming a win v. Augsburg). If UWO wins, it looks likely they'll jump Bethel. How likely is a 6-1 (6-4) UWO to get a Pool C and even allow Bethel to the board?? If UWP wins, they'll probably stay put.

I just don't get the move by the committee:

Bethel:
2-2 v. RRO (wins v. one loss North #9 Chicago & 2 loss West #9 UST; road losses to unbeaten West #2 Wartburg & one loss West #3 SJU)
SOS .625

UWP:
0-2 v. RRO (home loss to unbeaten West #1 Whitewater & road loss to two loss North #6 NCC)
SOS .543

Don't get it...but, no one to blame but ourselves for two losses  :P And maybe a lesson not to schedule tough non-con, given the MIAC's strength. It did us no good playing Warburg from a RRO or SOS perspective.

Retired Old Rat

I can live with that ranking.   ;D
I was thinking we should jump Linfield after the convincing Bethel win.

Johnnies take care of business and at least two home playoff games.  Unless the NCAA is afraid to schedule a game in Collegeville after the recent cold and snow.  Hopefully things thaw out.  Or, another long road trip to the Fargo Dome.

Wow.  I didn't expect BU to come in below UWP.  BU has the stronger SOS, right?  And a victory against a regionally ranked opponent.  Hmmm...  Doesn't seem right.
