With Fasching as coach the Johnnies are proud,
Clemens is full and the students are loud,
They're walking on cloud nine, they must be in heaven
it wasn't long ago they were dispatched of 63 to 7
Winning with No was the mantra for long
which wasn't all bad because there was no victory song
The Tommies, The Cobbers, The Oles and Auggie,
"Thank God for Carleton!" said John Gagliardi,
They've been puffing their chest as they'll play the UMAC winner
Big men having the Saints, a girls nursing school for dinner
They'll triumph this weekend but week two they will fail
We're going to Salem, you can keep the Holy Grail

Ah, takes me back to when Kilted Rat was on the board. Good times. Tongue-in-cheek fellas. Wartburg...yikes.

I hope SJU is recruiting some of these Becker kids...some of them can really play.

I asked a couple assistant coaches of a team  ;) that played both Wartburg and Whitewater this year which one would win if they met in the playoffs. They both agreed it would be close and would not predict the winner. UST will have a tough opponent to be sure.

fins,your writing is awesome.

The old Novak charm will go a long way in getting some of these boys to Collegeville.

Brandon: "Yeah, I loved growing up in Becker. I went to SJU, I was the MIAC MVP,an All-American and a pretty good wrestler too. I can see myself, when I look at you. So, you comin' to SJU?"

Recruit: "Could I?"

Brandon: "Yea, sure"

Recruit: "I'm in"

Brandon: "Cool."
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Hey 105: he uses that charm for kids from outside Minnesota also-he is great at selling the program.

Bench, living in the past.  :o

Well done. You're the only guy I the smoke fest would not jump all over.

Unless he's moved, I'm about 25 miles away from KR in Dana Point. Maybe I'll drive over in the AM and convince him to come out of retirement.

PAAAAAAAT....

Pop ups have started today that make the site unusable on an iPhone or iPad. Did you change something?

Edit: this site started has some new ads that open the AppStore every 6 or 7 seconds. I bought an app called Weblock which, after a couple minutes figuring out how to configure it, blocks the poor behaving pop ups.

7:15 a.m.: I head on out to the Bowl to put my luxury seats up in the "skybox" in the woods across the way. A path past scoreboard and up hill along with a seating area was already shoveled. I think the Bungum family might be responsible.
