I was happy to see Rob Voshell  make a diving catch for aTD; the broken arm held up and RV is contributing in the post-season. I was also pleased to see the Johnnies go back to Evan Clark with a deep shot after his drop last week vs. Olaf that hit him in the hands. With Bungam nursing some injuries,it's nice to see some other targets in the passing game. Add Harrington & Ford, the Johnnies are certainly deep in the receiving corps.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Speaking of the passing game: They don't seem to be throwing to the TE's much in the past few games. When they have, it's been productive. They have not, at least from what I've heard, (haven't seen because Stretch Armstrong can't stretch to SE WI) used some of the old reliables. Is Sura incapable of catching a pass? How about the bubble screen? If I am in error, let me know.

Sura & Sundly both had 3 catches out of the backfield yesterday.

Yeah, I'd go back and check the stats, I think the TE's and backs have been involved in recent weeks.  You know, when you only pass a half-dozen times a game, hard to get everyone involved.  :D With more passing, more guys have been there.  I've been critical in the past about getting the TE's and backs involved so have watched.

Edit:
TE Ford was the leading receiver vs. Bethel with 3 catches, Sundly 2 and Sura 1 out of 11 completions
Vs. Augsburg, Sundly caught the only completion, for a TD.
Ford was also tied for most catches vs. Carleton with 3.
9 of 13 completions vs. Hamline were to TE or RBs.

Based on the "seedings" SJU should be traveling to Wartburg next weekend. Does anyone think that the NCAA could move the game to Collegeville to try to capitalize on the gate? Based on the regional rankings there's no way they move it from Waverly, but it is the NCAA after all.
Zero chance this happens.

Triple Zero chance this happens--even though I would love it.

Update for those that may also be experiencing rouge ads killing your use of this any other sites. My router was somehow high jacked and I was being directed to a phishing DNS site. I'm not sure how that happens when I've got the security on the router down tight. I'm going to do some Google research and see.

But the fix is simple, use one of the internet's free and secure DNS services.  I set us up with Norton SafeConnect.  If you find your devices acting like they have a virus when you use the web then consider this approach. It's fixed us up.

The St. Thomas players, coaches, and fans are a classy group of people.

Wow!  If you believe that, I'd hate to see the typical IIAC teams you are used to seeing!  :o

Will Wartburg be given an honorary affiliate membership to the MIAC this year or is the minimum participatory requirement 5 games :D

But seriuosly, the MIAC is a great league and it has been fun competing with our neighbors to the north this year.

We'll take you. Wartburg is more of a member of the MIAC than Macalester at this point. ;)

I obviously haven't seen the Tommies as arch rivals, so perhaps there is a different opinion of their behavior north of the Iowa border.  :-\

OK, good, because I'm just catching up from yesterday and I hadn't heard of any issues.

A Wartburg Knight was in his car when he was hit by a semi truck. He decided  to take the the other party to court. In court the trucking company's fancy lawyer was questioning the Knight. "Didn't you say, at the scene of the accident, 'I'm fine'?" asked the lawyer.

Warty responded, "Well I'll tell you what happened. I had just loaded my favorite mule Bessie into the...."

"I didn't ask for any details," the lawyer interrupted, "just answer the question.  Did you not say, at the scene of the accident, 'I'm fine'!"

Knightburg said, "Well I had just got Bessie into the trailer and I was driving down the road...."

The lawyer interrupted again and said, "Judge, I am trying to establish the fact that, at the scene of the accident, this man told the Highway Patrolman on the scene that he was just fine. Now several weeks after the accident he is trying to sue my client. I believe he is a fraud. Please tell him to simply answer the question."

By this time the Judge was fairly interested in the man's answer and said to the lawyer, "I'd like to hear what he has to say about his favorite mule Bessie."

Knighty McWartburg thanked the Judge and proceeded, "Well as I was saying, I had just loaded Bessie, my favorite mule, into the trailer and was driving her down the highway when this huge semi-truck and trailer ran the stop sign and smacked my truck right in the side. I was thrown into one ditch and Bessie was thrown into the other.  I was hurting real bad and didn't want to move. However, I could hear ole Bessie moaning and groaning. I knew she was in terrible shape just by her groans. Shortly after the accident a Highway Patrolman came on the scene. He could hear Bessie moaning and groaning so he went over to her. After he looked at her, he took out his gun and shot her between the eyes.  Then the Patrolman came across the road with his gun in his hand and looked at me. He said, 'Your mule was in such bad shape I had to shoot her. How are you feeling?'"
