It certainly was a good enough trick for a few laughs on the ol' junior high travel bus.
I really missed out!!!

We used to cut the butter out that she was holding and then fold the picture back twice so that her knees lined up perfectly with the cut out hole...

For days, I have been trying to come up with some response to that, but I just can't!  ;D

Thanks d-train for showing me what was the Land O' Lakes (LOL) butter deal. I was a bit in the fog on this one.

Back in the day a young lad needed to be creative. These days the kids just whip out their smartphones and look at whatever they want.  :P

Every so often I'm confronted with my age.  I'll defend this one by saying I was introduced to this trick by my dad who did it with his friends when he was a boy. And he was born on a farm's kitchen table before there was electricity out of town (Pine River).  So maybe this one has out lasted us all.

No one here knew or did that trick?  Maybe it is a small town Northern Minnesota thing.

Maybe it's just a Collegeville thing. We know you guys are starved for women up there, but if you've resorted to taking advantage of the Land O' Lakes girl the situation must be truly dire.  :)

There are plenty of monochrome, big-city sophisticates all over the whole the world, but small-town Minnesota culture only exists in one place. I reckon it should be celebrated rather than ridiculed.

Is it still ok to eat lefsa?

*lefse*  only with butter/margarine and brown sugar.

Just another boring Minnesota city council meeting:

That's my old 'hood.  Not what you'd expect in New Hope.  An employee was shot in a robbery at a liquor store down the street last week, too!

According to KARE 11 report (gunman identified) there was a long running feud between gunman and New Hope city council and police. Also, there were multiple stays at mental heath facilities over the years for the gunman. A very sad situation. One of the policemen shot, was just sworn in as a new officer minutes earlier in the meeting.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

What???  A SJU coach breaking down film on a cable station?  It might help recruiting?  I could watch a game (albeit delayed) without Stretch buffering? Reruns of The Andy Griffith Show and Bonanza?   I think a pig just flew by my window while I was typing.

Roast that piggy!   Now this would be a treat.  And streamed over the interwebs to boot!

Not to make light of a very serious situation, but that's a helluva way to earn some serious street cred!  :o

I spent the last few days over on the Wiscy board first trolling and then yawning. What a pedantic, literal, unfunny bunch.  Student editors beware: the Pulizers of Cheese have your number.  Any reporting which doesn't meet the standards of the full-cream and cheddar set will be met with hearty tisk-tisking.

I'm back here for some beer talk. I shed about five pounds lately so I thought I would see if I could put it all back on in two days of pure liquid diet. Not quite, but I gave it the old college try.

I was trolling over there as well earlier in the week and would agree to your assessment of the Whitewater affair.
