#1 Wartburg at #5 Augsburg tonight at Si Melby Hall 7:30pm.

Unfortunately, it's impossible for both teams to lose.  :(
watched some of the highlights on the Stretch Internet replay.  The main Augsburg highlight had to be when their heavyweight threw the Wartburg heavyweight off the makeshift stage they set up in the gym.  Should have made it a cage match to be safer.

Some folks like to bitch about DI transfers in football, but I can think of a number of DI wrestling transfers to Augsburg--Longendyke being one of the more recent (not that it really bothers me).

What are people's thoughts on U$T for 2015?  6-4 seems about right.  :o

This is pretty kool!

A KOOL DEAL: SJU HOME FOOTBALL GAMES, COACHES' SHOW TO BE TELEVISED IN 2015

What I'd really like to know, though, is if the live game webcast will be via Stretch Internet again, or if a reliable provider has been secured?

Pretty sure the stream will be tape-delayed.  No live game webcast-- at least through the TV station.  I hope we didn't sign away live video rights and will still be able to broadcast via livestream, but I fear that would have reduced value to the TV station.

Great to have TV coverage, but tape-delayed means that it'll be yesterday's news.  In the era of streaming technologies, twitter and instant access, this is like taking a giant leap forward into the year 1995.  And worse, the games aren't even archived so I could watch it later on apart from the broadcast.

Esq,

Per the article:

QuoteSJU football games will again be webcast live on gojohnnies.com and the "Football Weekly" radio show with Mark Lewandowski, broadcast by The Bear WBHR-660 AM, will also continue in 2015.

So, we should still get a live webcast (though if it's with Stretch, it's hardly worth it).

The fourth loss?  GAC?  It would be sweet to watch, that's for sure.

I am sure Stretch will perform better for you guys next year. They really struggled in the fall across their entire network -- tried to do too much too quickly -- but it really is a top-notch product.

I hope that is the case, but I've also seen webcasts which are audio with a text-play-by-play.  I would feel better if they would use the term, "streamed live."  I remain skeptical!

I watched it on line as well and it was a little tense when the Wartburg heavyweight did not come back up on to the stage for a while but if I had to get back on the stage/mat with Longendyke I would probably take my time too. The guy is a beast.

This is the final version of the stage that was set up for the Battle of The Burgs.

Is this Scott's last year or did he graduate?  If he's playing again then AUG is a chance to upset anyone.  AUG could much more likely that GAC be loss #4 for UST.

Scott and Joey Sonnenfeld will be seniors this fall. Should be a fun year.
