UST will not lose 4 games...as much as you guys would love that to happen they have secured some nice D1 transfers and have done very well recruiting again. The new strength coach has the team working it very hard this offseason. The team is headed to Canada  and Europe to play this offseason, which allows them more team practice time to get them ready for next season.

Per the article:

SJU football games will again be webcast live on gojohnnies.com and the "Football Weekly" radio show with Mark Lewandowski, broadcast by The Bear WBHR-660 AM, will also continue in 2015.

So, we should still get a live webcast (though if it's with Stretch, it's hardly worth it).

I am sure Stretch will perform better for you guys next year. They really struggled in the fall across their entire network -- tried to do too much too quickly -- but it really is a top-notch product.

Tried to watch four different conference games this past week.  All were on Stretch and they all sucked.  Just really, really bad.  I finally just gave up and followed the live stats.  It has to get better because I don't see how it can get any worse.

Aussie football is awaiting a ruling next week on the two-year saga of investigating systemic performance enhancing drugs use at the Essendon Football Club. 34 current and past players, including 18 on Essendon's current senior list and three which have been traded to other clubs, are under provisional suspension.

I reckon this is a real mess. WADA are watching this very closely and openly to make sure no light punishment shenanigans go on in Australia. We could see all those players banned. The press is hyperventilating about two-year suspensions but I've read the WADA code and I think their is a good chance these guys are lifetime banned from all organised sport, any game, any league no matter how amateur.

Seeing as this was a systemic program organised and run by the club, including the club doctor, I don't like to think was the lawsuits will be like for all the damaged livelihoods. This could be the end of the Essendon Fiitball Club, a founding member of Australian Rules Football. What that could mean from a liability perspective for the directors and executives of the club is almost unimaginable. This could become one of the greatest scandals in sporting history.

Well, for you Frank fans, this is an answer from Andy Rennecke's live chat at the SC Times yesterday:

I haven't announced this yet, but Frank Rajkowski will stay on covering St. John's football. It would have been too much to ask of me to cover SJU football, a little SCSU football and high school sports at the same time. Frank will only cover SJU football while I will still cover the rest of SJU and CSB sports. I will cover SCSU football with the help of Mick Hatten next fall. It will be a dual partnership. I will be doing a lot more high school football and high school sports next fall.

So, that's a good thing as far as I'm concerned, and I think many of you SJU fans will agree.

I was going to subscribe to the SC Times in support of Rajkowski but it's $144/yr.  That's a bit rich for me, unfortunately, when I'll only be reading one guy's work on one team and doing nothing with the rest of the paper.

Hopefully, this keeps a few locals on the subscription list though.
