I saw American Sniper tonight. Pretty emotional drama, that. Not a lot to smile about. The only other Academy Award nominee I've seen is The Imitation Game, which I enjoyed, but I thought American Sniper was better.

Anyway, I'm going to surf the web for a while to see if I can cheer up enough to fall asleep.

I came home yesterday to a nice gift from bman!

Good to see the troops made it to base camp with no casualties!   Enjoy!

I was in Sydney last week and walked up to the shop where the terrorist had holed up with a bunch of hostages (and eventually saw a couple of them die with him).  I didn't see a burger joint with a '?' in the title, or a burger joint at all for that matter. Does anyone remember who it was that was asking the question?

We did see, however, as the four of us walked back down the Martin Place Mall to our hotels after dinner, a shaggy bum who looked much like Cousin It standing in the middle of the plaza having a one-man party, if you know what I mean. I took a mental note to not eat my lunch sitting on a bench in the sun at Martin Place. Better to take a sandwich back to my desk, methinks.

In light of Duff's comment, are you sure it was a one-MAN party?  ;D

I should have also mentioned the Bock Fest at the Schell's Brewery on Saturday, February 14 in New Ulm. It goes from 11 - 4:30 p.m. It is outside the brewery on the fest grounds.

We celebrated in grand style:  Bock on tap, hammerschlagen, brats, and a red-hot poker!

Well, as I didn't look too closely...  I couldn't be certain.

To be fair to the Tommie, it was a little chilly that night.

I've got to hand it to BWK, as he had the best response possible.  I was smiling myself at the bald-faced hypocrisy as I posted over on the WIAC board.

I gave him a +k for being clever.

Excuse me for laughing my ass off but the irony of a St Johns supporter talking about a fan base bashing another fan base is just too frickin' funny.  Hello pot, my name is kettle and we're black.
LOL, ya, that gave me a huge chuckle as well!   ;D ::) 8-)

Until this week, the concept of have to warm up your beer to keep it from freezing was utterly foreign to me...
Since you decided to push your weather down to the Mid Atlantic...this week has been quite an eye opener (temperture wise)...and frankly an education, that I really didn't want!

You all are nuts... Why in earth would you do this to yourselves!  ;D

Using a cooler to keep your beer from freezing--it happens!
