Hot off the presses: The Essendon footy players have been exonerated of PED usage and are free to play.  I am stunned, to be honest.  I thought they were toast for sure.

We're they cleared by an AFL-affiliated commission, or by WADA? And if it was AFL, could the WADA people still come back and hand down some sort of punishment?

The AFL commission ruling but it was a pretty thorough tribunal. It looks like Essendon were actually railroaded like they claimed. A kangaroo court, as it were. It all started with a press conference over two years ago when the then Prime Minister in the lead up to the national election declared the "darkest day in Australian sport" with rampant cheating, drugging, organised crime, etc, and with this concluding and investigations across many different sports it has come to absolutely nothing. Wow. (Actually, two Cronulla rugby players were suspended for two games about a year and a half ago but it was a sixth month suspension with time served in the off season leaving about nothing left).

So although both ASADA and WADA can appeal from here, the finding of facts was pretty thorough so the only issue left is a misinterpretation of the code. That could be but I think unlikely. What a shocker.

A show called The Grand Final Recall has been posted in YouTube. It has a number of Hawthorn players and the coach rotating through as they are interviewed while watching the game again. It is interesting for the footy junkie.

What strikes me about shows like this is how little emotion anyone shows while watching. It's not a game to a professional, it's work.  A fan's passion is utterly missing. Instead it's all about a critical assessment of performance, outcomes, improvements.  It's like work. Still interesting but not impassioned.

Just think of the injustice if that hadn't come to pass.  I imagine there would have been rioting in Minneapolis like 47 Irishmen with only three potatoes.

Yeah I can't imagine any other outcome. Moulsoff is the man, no doubt. The Police have put their riot gear back in to storage and no rocks will be launched.

Hawthorn's season opened with a thunderous roar of the crowd yesterday as they smashed Geelong 123 - 61. A demolition job. It's Hawthorn's biggest win over Geelong in 25 years and the first time we've beat them in the Easter Monday game in seven years. Geelong are no push overs, at least no one considers them to be yet, so Hawthorn are looking primed for a third straight tilt at the flag.

I would call that an understatement. It's a full on Lovefest  :-*

You couldn't find a better guy to pimp the city of St. Paul. For all the work OAS puts into the job he deserves to get a little face time on FOX 9

It goes without saying,he really out punted his coverage when it comes to the wife category..... it is a true life fairytale (Beauty & the Beast)  ;)

Keep up the good work Adam 8-)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

This is dated, but I didn't realize the parody "Minnesota Gurls" was done by a Tommie, a Bennie and a Johnnie:

Mike Grant is not one of the finalists for the SJU hoops job:

Clever.  You made me chuckle twice with that one, Bobby.
