Someone posted the entire Geelong v Hawthorn game from the weekend to youtube. The first quarter is a tight, hard contest.  The second quarter shows physical dominance. The third quarter shows speed, skill and decision dominance. The fourth is a snooze as the teams just run out the clock on a finished contest.

I don't follow basketball, but I've been keeping one eye on the SJU coaching search.  What are the chances that SJU hires someone other than Pat McKenzie (aka the internal candidate)?  I'd place them at slim to none.

A tradition unrivaled...

I can't reveal my sources but, there was a Lear Jet spotted leaving St. Cloud airport earlier today and allegedly Slim was on-board that aircraft.

Ran into a young lass at the supermarket today wearing a CSB/SJU T shirt. Asked if she was a Bennie but she said her sister applied but not started yet. Not many of us elite in this part of the country  ;)

St. Paddy's was a big blast when I was at the old school

I did that same thing down here in Melbourne once and the girls looked at me like I was a deranged sexual predator.
Last summer I was walking on campus and saw a girl in a grey and red shirt with the word "Pipers" on the front. "Hamline?" was all I said when I walked past (with a friendly smile on my face). Her reaction was hilarious! She had just graduated from Hamline and had started a graduate program at UO and was sooo thrilled to meet someone who had actually heard of Hamline! I became her instant BFF and we would have to stop and chat every time we saw each other. Apparently I don't have the creeper look about me that Oz does! ;)

Random fact that came up today on the radio station I listen to is that Pharrell Williams wrote the song "Rump Shaker" by Wreckx-N-Effect! That just made me start thinking about "Bust a Move" and "It Takes Two", etc. Those were some good times at Sal's and the La. Good Lord, I'm old! :'(

bennie. I was rooting very hard for your Jackets tonight. They came through. What a finish to both that game and their season. I hope they can carry it over to next year - but not so much that they replace my Caps as a playoff team. Make sure you bump the Pens instead.

To be a Jacket fan, is to have a season that ends early! That is why I also have my Ducks to cheer for! 8-)

Based on this upcoming 2014 summer trip I think it's safe to say Glenn Caruso would like a do-over on last season.

I just listened to my first KQ Morning Show podcast in a few years and, bummer, both Sanny and Justin are gone. Tom is still an a-hole but as long as I don't imagine working with him I find listening entertaining.
