Hate to pick a scab but those same defenders were ready for Bethel last year in the last game of the year which propelled the Johnnies in to the playoffs. You're welcome Johnnie horde. I don't remember receiving a Christmas card or even a thank you.

The Johnnies were in the playoffs regardless of the outcome of that Bethel/Auggie Tech game.  The Tech win did give the Johnnies the outright MIAC title, though, so thanks in that regard. 

It's actually probably the Tommies that owe the thank you to the Auggies for that win, had Bethel won that game they might have gone to the playoffs instead of the Tommies.

Regardless, going into this season the question for the Auggies is if their interior line play and defense will allow them to play with the stronger teams, unless they can run the table with 62-61 wins.

That was my take as well...UST was the main beneficiary.  Yes, SJU got the outright title rather than co-champs, but they were in the post season regardless.  Had BU won, the MIAC wasn't getting 3 teams in, and a UST team that lost to BU and SJU wasn't going to leapfrog either of them.

Uh.... Augsburg 62 - Bethel 61. The Auggies were playing a Bend Don't Break Defense!
