On the topic of best sports movies you can not leave The Natural off the list can you?  Just saying.

The Natural is one of my favourites, too. I like the book even better because it is darker. Hobbs strikes out, a victim of his selfishness, and lives the rest of his life a lonely man. A tragic and complete opposite ending to the movie.
