Oz or Duff,
Finally remembered my password so I could download Tune In? WDGY came up Hudson, WI. Is that where I can get VOJ?

Yes!  That's the one I was listening to.  8-)
Danke  :)

I can pull in WBHR on the AM radio at our cabin, but the static-free version was much nicer!  :D

Old Auggie -

Did you attend or watch the Aug - Wart game?  Interested in your takeaways...lots of points given up, just like last year, but vs. what is supposed to be a very good Wartburg team.  Looks like the Auggie offense will be plenty, but can they stop anyone on defense?

The Schrader - Domeyer (I'm sure I've mis-spelled the QB - RB duo) were very good last year, but they graduated a very good receiver, and I'm curious if that showed at all?
I saw Wartburg at Augsburg last year and watched the game online this year. Schrader the QB is very good. He reminds me of Hendricks at GAC but a bit taller and has a nice arm, probably stronger but not by much. He runs more than Hendricks so Bethel will need to account for that. Schrader did like to throw often last year to that WR that graduated but he has another big, clutch WR this year and a big TE that catches the ball well.

Domeyer is back and when they get him going down hill with a lead they are tough to stop. Augsburg was able to stop him several times, which was totally different than last year when it was all Wartburg. Augsburg had more rushing yards than Wartburg for the game partly because we have a good dual threat QB, an improved o line, a good RB and also due to the new defense. I have been quiet about the Defense but yes they will stop teams this year.

Overall I would say that Augsburg showed up to win the game and they almost did. Wartburg looked good, but to me one of the keys to Wartburg's  success last year was the big AA offensive tackle that graduated. He was very good, last year I watched him several times and he was absolutely dominant. I think his absence makes them a bit less intimidating but they have a big O line and they love to run it down hill.

Augsburg put pressure on Schrader and that forced him to scramble more than last year which resulted in a few sacks and forced him to throw on the run. I know Bethel has a good defense. I would assume they could do the same this weekend.

How was the tailgating in Science Lot #1?  It's looking like the U$T game will be my first this year.  :o

It was about 3/4 throttle with the holiday weekend,it was not full force.

The most exciting thing that occurred was when the Dubuque team busses tried to maneuver in the parking lot. Life Safety saved the day by having some tailgate participants  move their vehicles before they lost side view mirrors.  ::)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

There were about 7k at the game, not bad considering it was Labor Day weekend and the weather was a humid 90 degrees.  The tailgating seemed more spread out than normal.  The usual group was still in the corner up from the field, but there were many tents set-up around the perimeter of the lot by families/friends of current players.  Talked to a few fans up from Dubuque, they thought it was great, except for the game itself.

The first show is in the books and it's an entertaining bit for the Johnnie Nation & potential recruits to get their SJU fix.
The coaching staff/recruiting staff can leverage this to spread the word of Johnnie Football to high school coaches and recruits around the country.

The host was a little confused where the game next week is to be played, but other than than a good program.

Anthony the host for the coaches show and play by play guy for the game rebroadcast doesn't have a clue about football...he admitted he's a weather guy.  I think we just call home Weatherman!  He makes Dave Lee sound really good!

Did you have buffering issues with Gary's show and/or the game?
I sat down to watch it but it buffered every 5-9 seconds.

Worked fine for me...they should really post Gary's show to YouTube to promote the program.
