In regards to the Coaches War of 2015, I think it's time for this helpful reminder.

Oz Johnnie watches from halfway around the world and compares Bench's fighting technique to a kangaroo and a rugby player no one's ever heard of who died in 1953.

This is probably my favorite.  :D

Weigh in with your thoughts on St. Glenn.  :o

Say what you will, but Steve Johnson is probably a better recruiter than anyone in the nation. I can't imagine what someone would have to say to me to get me to agree to go to Bethel.

Though I think Kirk Talley at UNWSP may have an even tougher sell.

Looks like the UMAC will be a two horse race between NW and St. Scholastica for the pleasure of losing by 55 in the first round of the NCAAs. Edge of my seat for Oct 17.

You're much too level-headed, hazz. Although that doesn't stop you from tiptoeing -- but not dancing, even though that would be allowed and you'd like to officially correct the record about dancing being permitted at Bethel -- into the fray, clearing your throat, tapping Bench on the shoulder and announcing that, even though no one asked or especially cares, the Bethel passing game is looking surprisingly strong this year and is actually going to be a strength of the team this year instead of a cosmic joke, while also noting that Bethel would have won four national championships already if not for injuries to various QBs from 2003 to the present.

Also, 57Johnnie just logged in to d3football.com to ask if anyone else is having trouble picking up the fight on Stretch's feed or if it's just his ipad not working.

I think it's a pretty easy sell for Northwestern/Bethel/Wheaton with the smaller pool of kids interested in an evangelical Christian college.

Come on down, could make it a doubleheader after the UST game since UNW-CSS is a 6pm kickoff.  I went to check on how last year's first round exit actually turned out and was surprised to find that CSS was only out-gained by 31 yards.  8 interceptions didn't help their cause much.  As Pat Coleman wrote in Kickoff "the Saints were mostly not embarrassed by St. John's".

PS.  Maybe if Glenn put a nun on staff and included her in the post-game picture like Ramler does, he would get less guff.

Homecoming for UST that day. I'm guessing the tailgating policy over there is not aligned with my belief system, though I have been surprised before.. I'm a big fan of parking lots and drinking beer in parking lots and I've seen every parking lot in the MIAC.

I'm a little confused, by "over there" do you mean UNW?  As near as I can tell UST, Concordia, Bethel and Gustavus all ban alcohol during tailgating.

UST has a beer garden and a look the other way policy in the parking lot when it comes to cold ones. This has been my experience everywhere else in the MIAC as well (when it comes to parking lots).

Officially, yes, but as long as you're not being a jacka$$ about it, it isn't an issue.  The SJU and Wartburg crowds both setup near the lot just off of Snelling and aren't harassed by campus security for their red solo cup beverages.

Ahh, that's better. Now I feel like one of the hated elite!  :) 8-)

When we played the first time at Northwestern we tailgated at Bethel.  Discretion is the key.

Hazz, being from Bethel you were always hated.   ;)
