I took the dog for a walk down at the beach in Mordialloc today and there were quite a few notices like this one posted around the place. This was the only one I saw which was clean enough to post here.

I reckon this guy probably had one heck of a bachelor party.

I have the house to myself this afternoon, which never happens.  No Johnnie home game or even an away broadcast to watch uninterrupted.  I guess I will do some yard work. :-\

Drove down to Northfield to watch what I thought would be a stroll through Laird stadium for the Cobbers. What a surprise. Defense had no answers for Carleton running around end or throwing short passes. Offense was adequate but uninspired. Let down after getting the Bethel monkey off their backs last week? Was impressed with the "pluck" Carleton showed on their homecoming Saturday, but happy not many folks were there to witness the near fall by the Cobbers. Sure, they finished with all 3 timeouts and taking a knee on the 7, but this was the kind of victory that should drop a team out of the top 25.

Congrats to UST. This 2015  team looks like a very good team and they deserve any bump in the rankings they get this week. I was very impressed. A great day for homecoming and a great crowd was there to enjoy the game and the festivities. Nobody left early and I was happy to see the positive atmosphere today at Edor Nelson Field. The gap between levels within the MIAC is large, no doubt. Rome was not built in a day, we have some promising young players so the future looks fine. Not sure who will be at QB next year but we have been playing a freshman at the end of some games. Have not been able to see him throw much but he could be a decent replacement for Scott. Maybe better than decent. Hard to say.

Jordan Roberts is as good as advertised. I just wish the UST coaches would have left him on the bench after his second or third stinger. He was getting beat up out there today; why keep pounding him when you are up 41 -0?

Was very pleased with how the Knights played. That was by far their best game all year and really I think the first time they showed up to play for both halves. Hoping the play continues to improve and that the Goat will be returned to it's rightful place.

Heard the UWW news: wow!

Never understood why teams do that.  Johnnies had Sura playing in 4th qtr last week when game was in hand.  No sense playing mvp when game is in hand.  Just plain stupid to do that!  Never want a player to get hurt but I don't feel sorry for coach when it happens in those situations. Have some common sense.

In the case of Sura, I'll bet a part of this is a desire to push him for the Gagliardi Award. He'll have to have the stats for it, and when you play in the MIAC, sometimes you'll have to load up on those rushing yds where you can. And I don't think that's necessarily wrong, just saying I wouldn't be surprised if that was in play to a certain degree.

40-50 yards won't be a factor in Gagliardi trophy.  Not having Sam the second half against wartburg in the playoffs was devestating. I could be wrong but Sam and SJU would rather have a playoff berth than him win the Gags trophy.

I think many coaches think you need experience playing the full 60 minutes, so you'll be prepared when you're needed late in playoff games.  There is a bit of truth in that, but it usually tells you more about what the coach thinks about the backup's lack of talent.

Time for a funny 30-second commercial?  This one from Supercheap Auto Parts just made me smile.

Definitely agree, 40-50 is no biggie, but if you grab those yards where you can against Hamline, Carleton, Olaf or even GAC and Augsburg, it adds up. And it can offset a day like what he had vs. UST.

Kind of surprised UST still only ranked 9th. Big road win at SJU, shut down an Augsburg team that gave Wartburg all they could handle. All I know is SJU should want UST to run the table, be ranked high and win every game big. I would put UST ahead of Wheaton, Wartburg (for sure) , Wesley and possibly UWO and UWW.
