Let's hope not!

He's referring to The Liter Bowl.

As a Carl alumnus, I'm always slightly self-conscious about the 'nerdy' reputation Carleton has. Although admittedly that was one of the things that drew me to Carleton in the first place and something I still think should be celebrated, I do sometimes feel slightly embarrassed when it's a very extravagant celebration of 'nerdiness'

I'm a chemist, so naturally, I'm a nerd, but I am surrounded by far nerdier folks daily!  One of them even went to Carleton!  I tend to aim my Carleton jabs for her in regards to frisbees and pot, though.   ;D

It was PLU for a few years before that (the Reformation Bowls). Miss you guys... :-[

Solid day for the Johnnies. A sloppy 1st half gave way to a solid 2nd. One step closer to a 9-1 finish.

I have a suspicion Fenske will replace Gould at some point for UST. This is based on nothing but gut instinct. He just seems to pop up on my Twitter timeline more. I realize it's in garbage time but in a close game I think Glenn will get antsy.

Dubuque. Johnnies opener looks a lot better after today.

I reckon you're right, rube. Maybe the hype of the big week got to the johnnies and they weren't ready to play the tommies this year.  I'm going with that argument, anyway.  With luck we meet them again in the post season and can change the story a little.

Battle for The Goat Saturday! I did a little digging and it turns out St. Olaf leads the series with Carleton 49-45-1. Well, here's to hoping that the Knights can win the next five straight and take control of the series. Go Knights! Beat Olaf!

On a side note, wouldn't it be a little more interesting if the final week in the MIAC was rivalry week?
Final week as rivalry week would have some wrinkles to iron out. Just using my Cobbers as case in point, they would consider the Johnnies to be their biggest rival, but that "love" is unrequited due to their rivalry with St. Thomas. Concordia's best "trophy game" is against St. Olaf for that troll, but STO is claimed as rival by both crosstown Carleton and Gustavus.

Perhaps being the Switzerland of the MIAC, the Cobbers would just have a season ending bye week, like this year (which makes no sense).
If the human brain were so simple that we could fully understand it...we would be so simple that we couldn't.

Ummm, yeah, Gould only threw for 293 of UST's 332 passing yds today. He's definitely trending towards a benching. With all of Fenske's yds in garbage time, how can Caruso not start him soon, if that 3:2 TD to INT ratio hasn't done it already  ;) 8-)
