Very unsurprising to hear Johnnies chiming in immediately with Caruso jokes.

We are #1 in humor as well.

I would think No. 1 in humor requires the occasional original material.
Pat, give me a little credit on the Plaxico Burress from yesterday..... ;D
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

That literally happened in 2008. About as topical as jokes about William Howard Taft.

So the 800 lb gorilla in the room is will Caruso finish the season at UST or will he be on the sideline in Maroon & Gold on Saturday vs. Michigan?  :-\

Hmm, it seems the SJU recovery process is taking longer than usual this year. Over a month has passed and the rest of the community is still being subjected to spiteful rumormongering about coach Caruso...

So, you're saying that Caruso isn't talented enough of a coach & recruiter to position himself for a $1.5M+ job that he would not need to uproot his family & move halfway across the country to take? If that's how you really feel about the guy how actually made UST football relevant then so be it. This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity, but then again, who knows......

Personally, I don't want GC going anywhere. It's too much fun when the Johnnies beat him. Who wants to see UST as deadbeats again?

Plus, who else can organise handholding with all the players (except you guys that we didn't invite to training - kind of like FAMILY at a wedding and putting the weird cousins on that back corner table.)

I'm glad to hear you say that, Oz.  I've always found it a bit odd that so many Johnnies seem to hope that Caruso will leave just because he's made UST relevant.  Shouldn't the goal be to have the best team in the MIAC by having the best team in the MIAC, despite how hard others are trying, and not hope for a coach to leave just because his team represents a challenge?

Seems like a childish response.

Edit: - Also, New Zealand - Australia Rugby World Cup Final...high hopes?  Maybe the All Blacks coach will go and coach somewhere else before the game... ;)

The All Blacks for sure. Unlikely to be a monkey stomp but if the get going. Too fast. Too versatile. The all blacks are more than 2:1 favourites at -7.5 points. If I bet I would bet on them beating the line. I just don't think the Aussies can do it.

That being said, All Black rugby has traditionally choked in the WC final while the Aussie always play clutch. Maybe a couple bucks on the Aussies at $3 just to support the good guys.

Is sports betting openly available in Australia, or is there a version of Las Vegas that one needs to visit there?

OzJohnnie

Wide open and on your iPhone. It's a growing concern in Aus, the ease of betting. Apparently Australians bet more per capita in the ponies than everyone but Hong Kongers (or whatever they're called).  We have betting company commercials on TV like the States have Viagra and feminine products.

OzJohnnie

It's a growing concern but I don't think it's growing enough to change anything yet. Tuesday is a public holiday. Melbourne Cup Day. We shut down the country for a day so everyone can watch the horse race.

OzJohnnie

I actually never bet in my life until I moved to Aus.  In the last five years or so I've started betting because I'm hanging down at the pub with mates who are betting and I need something to do in between refills.  So $5 every so often.  Kind of like people that only smoke when they drink.

Sorry for the quadruple post, but when the moment presents itself one must take advantage.

Great news!

- 57 people stripped for a nude roller coaster ride

Better news!

- The CourierMail prints (strategically blurred) pictures

Bad news!

- The 57 people are middle-aged voyeurs

Worst news possible!

- This took place in Britain, not southern California

Warning!

- What has been seen cannot be unseen

Still probably doesn't compare to our saturation by FanDuel & DraftKings (for now.....)
