One thing that intrigues me in the Top 25 Poll, is that UWO is ranked above UST. St Thomas has wins by greater margins over some good MIAC teams, while UWO hasn't put up big numbers against the good teams in the WIAC. The reason must be that they beat UWW, while UST "only" beat SJU. That presumes that UWW is as good as they have been lately. It's a kind of incestuous assumption. I guess we will see what happens when/if SJU or UST plays Platteville or Oshkosh or UWW.

UWO beat UWP by 35. That said, I've had UST ahead of UWO in my west region fan poll.

MIAC Play of the Week:
It appears the voters were unimpressed with the Behind the Ass Pass as it was trounced by the Martin to Simon 31 yard TD connection.

It would appear that Johnnie fans flocked to the pools Chicago style (voter early / vote often).
SJU 1685 votes
U$T 485 votes

It's interesting that a play that got so much attention only got 485 votes.
Maybe many of the purple flock also felt the play got too much attention and was out of line.

Last week over 851 votes were cast for a Jordan Roberts TD on a screen pass.

Anyway it all gives me reason to smirk a bit.  ;)

Or maybe SJU fans will vote for their team regardless if it's a relatively pedestrian play as highlight material goes.

I guess "Play of the Week" should also denote some sort of significant impact on the outcome of the game. A two point conversion in the first quarter of an 80-3 drubbing probably not the big momentum shift, I would say that happened when Carleton saw who was on the schedule that week.

The STO behind the back was my favorite because I'd never seen it before in all the games I've ever watched.

A YouTube search turns up about 20 examples. A few high schools have done it over the last 20 years.

Gusties actually deserved to win for "Plays of the Week"

BDB,

I was catching up on the boards and my 8 year old daughter came in and saw your cat GIF.  She couldn't stop laughing.  I haven't gotten her thoughts on the UST 2 point conversion yet.

Ha! Did she notice the cat is watching Japanese TV?

Funny thing is we have a cat that looks just like this.

Mr.MIAC

So this is a serious question. I have lots a watches ranging in price from $8 to $1000s. One thing that I've steered away from is Rolex. I've lately taken an interest in the no-date submariner. Question: When you see a Rolex on someone's wrist does it generate any positive/negative feelings?

Serious answer - I couldn't tell one from a Timex as I put no stock in bling.
