Congrats MIAC posters! That's a lot of wasted cubicle time.  ;)

In the MIAC we waste our time in the corner office and dictate our responses to our secretaries so we can drink scotch and look at out of our windows, contemplating something clever to say to a guy with the handle, "Duffman."

We do owe a lot of our success (if you can call it that) to the old school Liberty League guys like Red Tackle & Enginegro...those guys could talk smack & waste time like nobody's business. And they found a way to make it all billable hours..... ;)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Sorry Bench. That would just be Auggie Tech and WIAC grads in the cubicles, right? My fault.

After the sh-t that went down in Paris today it's more apparent than ever that our banter and debate are somewhat, if not totally meaningless.  Good luck to all teams on the last day of the 2015 regular season.

To the players...Play with heart and joy on Saturday because in the grand scheme of things it's just a stupid game.  Be grateful that you had the opportunity to play college football. The reality is that there are issues in this world that are greater than MIAC / D3 football.  Be grateful that you, your families and teammates are safe.

Go Johnnies, Tommies, Knights, Royals, Auggies, Pipers, Gusties, Oles, Cobbers (bye week) and heck even the Scots!

Speaking of perspective, it is striking how quickly we forget previous terrorist attacks, possibly because they are becoming too frequent. Paris is only the third worst in Europe in the last 10 years. 331 students and teachers were murdered in the Beslan school siege and 191 were murdered in the Madrid train bombing.  130 were killed in the Moscow theatre attack.  164 people were murdered in the Mumbai attack in 2008, which was very similar in execution to Paris.

Closer to Oz, there have been two terror tracks in Bali, one killing 202 and another three years later killing 20 people.

Sickening.

For anyone interested in digging deeper into data on terrorism incidents, here are some of the most valuable resources:

I would imagine it would be some combination of both.

So, behind-the-back passes by the third-string guys?

I've been scouting SJU practices this week.  SJU has a play that might get even more publicity than the one U$T ran.
It's kind of a double reverse pass.
The holder is going to pitch the ball to the kicker...the kicker will hand off to the right end who has peeled back and is running an end around the left side of the line.  He's going to sell the run however instead of throwing the ball behind his back he is going to throw it between his legs to the kicker in the opposite corner of the end zone.
2 pts on the PAT and we will get it on film for the playoffs.

The other fake is fumblerooski...the unique thing is that the first team D are the ones that have been working on it.  Should be great fun!!!

Too bad they are wasting practice time on a now illegal play (and yes, I know you aren't being serious).  ;)

I had no idea that the fumblerooski was made illegal in 1992.

A blowout win to end the regular season had me thinking of a similar game almost 12 years ago the day.
