Taking it one game at a time of course, but I'll just leave this right here:

LAST TEAM STANDING (in the bracket):

Adam: St. Thomas. Glenn Caruso has been starving to get back to Salem and has the squad to do it this year. The Tommies' biggest test might come in a Round 2 rematch against their rival Johnnies.

Frank: St. Thomas. Their hardest game seems to be that potential St. John's rematch. I don't see how the Johnnies turn around a prior 21-point deficit when losing home-field advantage in the rematch.

Ryan: St. Thomas. The Tommies have rolled through one of the toughest conferences in the nation, and it has prepared them well to be one of the nation's last four standing.

Keith: St. Thomas. The Tommies didn't just go 10-0. They did it in one of the nation's strongest conferences, by scoring at least 35 in every game and never allowing more than 14. They had 12 punts and allowed 11 touchdowns. This isn't just a final four contender. This is a Walnut-and-Bronze contender.

Pat: I think this is St. Thomas' bracket. They are a top seed for a reason. Rolling up yards on the ground and stellar on defense, which will only be more important as the weather gets worse up here.

I am continually amazed when people pick the top seed to win a bracket. Don't they know what top seed means?

I mean, this isn't basketball or baseball. I think in football, as long as the committee doesn't completely hose the seedings, often the No. 1 team advances.

Noted and agreed.  But tell that to 2014 Ohio State! ;D

And totally true that both forms of bball are quite different.  I'm STILL cheesed off about the 2006 basketball FF, and STILL get goose-bumps about Appleton, 2010! :o

I recall similar predictions for MU in the 2003 Stagg.  D3's been wrong before.

I think UST's road to Salem will be anything but a smooth ride. We might need some Tommie MagicTM...

About as originals as Roll Toms.

Shockingly, Chuck, I'm not talking about Division I and shockingly, Division I is a different animal. Since there are only four teams at all, all four of those teams were the No. 1 seed in their bracket.

And if they would cut back a bit on their regular season and actually HAVE playoff brackets, they might get as legitimate a national champion as D3 (or D2 or D! FCS) has! ;D

Since they currently only have a 4-team single bracket, OSU was the #4 seed.  (AARGH, I'm speaking nicely about OSU - I need a shower! :o)

It's all a matter of perspective. Some say plagiarize, others might say improve upon.

I recall a game program from back around 1994 that had the heading, Legends of the Fall.

I all seriousness I don't know how original Go Johnnies or Johnnie Nation is but we like it.

I prefer, Tommies, Tommies, Tommies SUCK!  Now that's brief and original.  Maybe not original.

Some did not pick the 1 seed in the Oshkosh bracket. Oh wait that's because UWW is there.  ;D

I'll throw a curve ball out there.  The MIAC was down this year except for U$T and SJU1.  SJU had distractions of ESPN wasn't ready to play in game one.  Tom$ haven't really been smacked in the face yet or had a bad game.  When that day comes will they answer the bell?

I'm thinking that's how it will happen if it does, faunch.

Massey has us with a 97% chance to beat Dubuque so I really hoping we get a second crack at the Tommies.
