Here are a couple  slogans from other programs that the Tommies can plagiarize, I mean, add "Toms" and think it's original
Band of Brothers- BYU
Fear the.... Turtle-Maryland;Duck- Oregon; Frog- TCU
Fearless & True -Auburn
Keep Choppin' -Rutgers
Win the Day -Oregon
Those Who Stay Will Be Champions- Michigan
We Are.... -Notre Dame
And the one I love the most, because there seems to be a lot of co-eds who are walking dead
Zombie Nation  Penn State
I think "Return of the Quack" is probably more appropriate! 8-)

If both teams advance and St. Paul wins I do not see how anyone can use Tommies Suck for at least a decade.

Agreed, but we have to recognize that the Johnnie fascination with "Tommies Suck" has little to do with football. It's more a coping mechanism associated with rationalizing a perceived deficiency in placement within the Catholic social hierarchy. For many people in the region, UST is an aspiration. SJU has a fine tradition that should be valued. However, many Johnnies have a chip because it's not quite UST. This all makes sense when you look at it from the outside. By way of example, Rudy didn't really want to go to Holy Cross College...it was all about Notre Dame. It's the same thing a littler further northwest.

OK.
Suck not in the Catholic vocabulary taught though.

Anyone here watching the new season of the TV Fargo?  I'm really enjoying it. The accents are largely awful, but the story is quite good and the characters engaging.  Mrs Oz enjoyed season one but I never watched past the second episode.  I'm finding this year much better.

That would make sense if a Johnnie somehow couldn't get into U$T.  I was recruited by U$T.  I very well could have gone there.  I made the smart choice, though. :P

This is a great article and I'm glad to see that SJU understands the benefits of modern dance for athletes. Not every school offers dance so kudos to SJU for taking advantage of it.

You're insane for giving up on season 1, but....

Wow...go to the Stagg Bowl (and lose) once in their program's history and they're getting compared to Notre Dame.

At least you were recruited by UST. The coaching staff had no clue who the hell I was when I showed up for camp. Oh how things have changed.

In those days (1998-1999), I'm not so sure that being recruited by U$T was a good thing.  :o

Took me awhile to get Rev's sense of humor, but his tongue is planted firmly in cheek. We're more EXACTLY like Georgetown or Boston College.
