Tommies 35, Linfield 24.  In a game that is closer than the score.  In a game that is 28-24 going into the fourth, the Tommie D makes a stand around midfield, then the O goes on a punishing, demoralizing, 15 play, 8:30 drive, pounding in a 3rd and goal from the 2 with 3 minutes left.

But what color is the lettering on the second sign from the left in the third row?

Last weeks the gurus were a net +3 for Linfield (+3, +1, -1), so Linfield, in a show of fairness and sportsmanship, let MHB score the first three TDs.
This week the gurus are a net +18 for St. Thomas (+7, +7, +4), so will the Tommies let Linfield score the first 18 TDs? It seems only fair and sporting that they should.

Yes--if they give the CATS 18 TDs, it would be something to see......
Go Cats!

Well, here we go. I think we realize after seeing the Mount - UWW result, there's a reason they play the games. None of us really knows how this will turn out. If you'd told me Mount's RB, Nemeth would go for over 200 and average almost 7 ypc I'd have thought your were crazy.

SJU has published a season highlights video. Lots of Sira and Bungham magicery.

You won that game fair and square.
Should be a hell of a Stagg.  I might even watch it for once.

More on that on-the-field-all-the-time coach when the season is over.

Congrats--definitely the better team today.  CATS will land on their feet and be back next year.
Go Cats!

To date, SJU has put up the most points on UST- 19 in play off game and limited UST to their lowest point total for the season-35 in regular season. What does this mean, nothing because UST won both contests.

It is interesting though against SJU,Wabash and Linfield UST has scored 38 points in each of those play off games.

We will all see next Friday night how they stack up against Mount Union.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I was having a similar thought. This SJU team was pretty good. It's just a shame that the caviar eaters of summit ave put such a good squad together as well.

Mick Tinglehoff, Bill Brown, Dave Osborn.

Maybe I'm giving SJU and the rest of the MIAC (and Wabash as well) too much credit, but I'm thinking Tommies 35 - 10.

I was pretty close, pat on my own back

It just confirms that you guys are certainly SJ2.  ;)

Congrats UST on the victory. And hats off to a great Linfield team. You guys had a wonderful season.

Great game today! Was fun to be a part of it. I'll be stuck in Iowa watching next week's game on TV.

Sat in front of Gary Trettel today for the game and got a chance to talk to him a bit. His brother made a comment when Roberts was around 160 yards that he passed him for the single-season record.
