The UST O-line is truly special.  Linfield has a great defense, but just had no answer.  The first quarter was true domination - and then after that it was basically iso left, iso right, power left, power right, milk the clock.  I think a lot of people this week are going to overreact and say UST has no balance/no passing game based on this game alone.  To me, that would be foolish - it looked like UST just made the decision that there was no reason to throw today.

Riddle looked like the real deal, it is too bad that he was not healthy enough to be at 100% as it would have been interesting to see if that would have made it more of a contest.  Linfield showed a lot of heart.  Very good team. Congratulations on a great season.

I hope the Donovan injury wasn't serious.  He's a big (pun intended) piece of the puzzle and missing him would really hurt.

This is going to be too much fun!  Before we are too far into the week, I will happily regurgitate the Saint Glen story that starts the year before St. Thomas made it to the Stagg Bowl.  It's quite interesting, and Mount fans in the know really don't like that guy, and VK is going to have that little "oomph" this week during preparation.

Congrats St. Thomas for getting to the Stagg.  Let the fun begin!

Yeah you don't want to lose him and they said he was a senior so I hope he can play on Friday. Looked serious but maybe he just tweeked it.

Congrats to the Tommies.  Clearly the better team today and deserving of the win.
Jordan Roberts is a beast, and I didn't realize until the game that he is from my neck of the woods in Wyoming (apparently he broke a lot of the high school records that my great-uncle held until then).
Good luck this week!

Westside

Yea, kudos to UST. Linfield front seven had no answer. They even brought in an extra linebacker in the second half, but it really didn't do anything. That Tommies O-line may not be the most athletic but they are huge and they stick to their blocks. I was extremely impressed seeing them driving guys down the field. Best of luck against them boys from Ohio.

Congrats UST!    We had no defense against your massive offensive line and rushing attack.

Good luck in the Stagg Bowl!!   I will root for you.

I'm waiting to hear yet another story in the long line of GC tales. We have many that have been shared over the years.Someone could compile these as a series of anecdotes for other coaches to emulate on their individual journey to immortality.  ;)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I did not see the game, but I was listening over the radio for parts of it. I heard that Brennan also went down. Did he return later in the game? I saw during the press conference that Caruso was unsure of Donovan's status for the Stagg Bowl. However, he did say that they likely lost at least one player for next week.

This is still the healthiest team in Caruso's time at UST. Gililand missed about the first six games and Stevson missed two games. Other than that, I do not believe any other UST starter has missed a game this season. Impressive.

Congratulations to the Tommies on yet another dominating performance.  After the first meeting with the Johnnies I knew this team was really good.  They showed yesterday how exceptional they are.  Should be a fun Stagg to watch.

Congrats to the Tommies! As a Johnnie, I usually hate the Tommies. But this team isn't hard to root for.

The coach, on the other hand...Anyone catch Glenn on SId's show this morning? DId a good job figuring out what the hell Sid was trying to say, but bristled when Dave Lee suggested that their facilities had anything to do with his success. Then he rambled about how he wants recruits to get a feel for the place..blah blah blah. You better not dare question that recruiting and facilities have lead to his success - it's all Glenn :).

I know he's not a starter, but Kaiser has been injured for much of the year and he looked much much better running yesterday.  Against Wabash, he looked stiff. Then again, nobody got much going running against Wabash.
