Patrick should have had someone proof read it for him.  I'm not an English or Journalism major but I can see where there are words missing in the story.  He claims in the story that he did a read through looking for errors...oops.

in a word: Classless - we can debate on here what is classy and isn't. But re-reading the junk they were posting all game in the MIAC In Game Updates board was just ridiculous. I don't know what it is about getting your butts handed to you the week before (NB: I've been nothing but respectful towards Linfield up to this point) that makes you think coming onto another conferences board to rub salt is kosher. SO, you're mocking UST all game long, but keep in mind, if they lost to Mount in that fashion, what does Linfield lose by? Double Monkey Stomp...Double Stomp Out?  Honestly, I don't get it. Best line was one of them saying something like 'Welcome to the Machine.' Right, because Linfield has so much experience, much less success, against Mount?!? UWW can say that. SJU can say it if they want to reach back 12 years. Linfield has no business.

There's a sort of little crony complex with some (Wildcat11 and others excluded) of these Linfield fans. Think 'A Christmas Story' and Scott Farkus' little toadie. 'Hey, since we've never beaten SJU, lets kiss up to them incessantly and mock their rivals. Maybe they'll let us keep sitting at the cool kids table.' 

You should just be happy that their posts were coherent. Mostly.

Get ready to be Karma sniped daily by them for the foreseeable future. Even when you don't post for days. I've accepted my fate will continue by posting this.

It's not a good look from a fan base that hypes itself all the time as the king of class. And it's really odd behavior to go running on to another board with incoherent ramblings about the team that drubbed you the week before. A couple of goofy fans.

A close #2 might be the Twitter chirp from SJU guys who have graduated in the last couple years about the 4 national titles "they" won compared to the 0 for Bethel and UST. Also not a good look, since a few might have been in 1st grade or so for that last title, but if that's what helps them sleep well good for them.

Congrats to Jordan Roberts on being named D3Football's Offensive Player of the Year. Last night he went over 2,000 yards on the season. He showed a lot of toughness considering the injury he was battling through.

Jordan Roberts is as good as advertised. I just wish the UST coaches would have left him on the bench after his second or third stinger. He was getting beat up out there today; why keep pounding him

I think the Augsburg game is when Roberts injury was first noticed. Maybe it happened in practice that week, but I do recall a big hit in the  middle of the field right in front of me and he checked out of the game then, on his own. Up to that point he was running well and without any issues. I know Caruso went and found Kaiser sitting on the bench after that play and put him in. Kaiser was not expecting to go in any time soon by the look of his body language.

He is a tough player. Congrats to him for the Offensive Player of the Year Award.

What gets me was the speed. I knew it would be elevated from Mount, but it really wasn't close. And this was a UST defense that was considered very fast. They looked very pedestrian last night. And what does that say for the Confernce. I think it validates teams having to dabble outside the state for guys here and there because you can't match a team with Ohio as its primary recruiting grounds and Florida as its secondary market. I don't know that MN high school football can give you that. Not suggesting Meidt style recruiting, but Fasching and Caruso going after guys out of state that are the right fit here and there makes sense

Wow.  After that first quarter, I thought 2$T was going to take it to UMU.    Congrats on a solid season, Toms.

How ridiculous was that fumble recovery TD for Gould?  And that onside kick was executed to perfection.  It was good to see the fake FG snuffed in the 2nd half-- St. G runs it so much, my 4-yr old knew it was coming.  There comes a point when it loses its effectiveness.  And for once, I was pleased with the officiating.  Amazingly, U$G (yes, U of $t. Glenn) managed no personal fouls!!!

So, congrats Raiders, and congrats Toms (still only bridesmaids).

Is it legal for the receiving team to smoke the kicker before he runs ten yards? That would be the best way to defend that kick.  It's very clever and well designed onside kick that could lead to a kicker getting destroyed. If I had to prepare for it I would have one of my front line guys absolutely annihilate the kicker...just wondering if the receiving team is allowed to make contact before the ball and kicking team goes ten yards.

Don't know the contact rules, but as the receiving team you have to attack that ball. It was flawless execution by the kicker, but attacking that ball before it goes 10 yards by the receiving team gives them the best chance.

Congrats UST on a great year. Impressive run. Even up 14 I was thinking, Mount can score so fast...

Mount. Their D was very good. Their offense was exceptional. Their play calling on offense was even better. The way they started to adjust to UST's blitzes by spreading things out and then running right back up the middle was just great scheme work.

Caruso has guts. Some of those calls, man. He definitely came into this with a plan to use every bullet he had in his arsenal.

Fumble by Waldvogel was killer. UST needed to respond and keep in contact. Instead they gave Mount the short field and Mount went for the jugular.

My obnoxious posts were totally related to the need to go for two point conversion the week before with the lame excuse that "you scored so many so fast the week before it was a defensive move" or some drivel like that, AND then finding no place to go for two against 11 time National Champion UMU.
So...congratulations for getting to the wind and snow bowl and leaving it on the field you teammates of Waldvogel.
Perhaps LINFIELD's starting Qb Riddle will be able to meet you on the field 1016.

And just for the record DC1 & DOC, I'm a Bethel alum/fan, not a UST backer. But even through my Royal tinted glasses it was obnoxious yesterday. A post or two, fine, whatever. But after a dozen, y'all need to get a life. Or at least post it on your own board or over on the OAC board. I've been on here for quite some time and I don't ever remember the fans of a defeated team setting up camp on another board like that, to take jabs and gloat. That said, I have no delusions about anything I've said affecting your behavior. Self-awareness is a difficult lesson to learn, and if not mastered by the mid-twenties, it's usually a lost cause.

I've noticed over the years there is no OAC in game-updates board.
I went where the action was.

MonroviaCat and CalCat started discussing on the NW update board. We have no way of knowing if the went over to MU-B. If they did then they were your polite "I'm not saying anything about classless" guys.

I cannot speak for desertcat1 rooting for UMU.  I'm guessing it's because he went to an UMU game and they treated him well. I posted before the game I was rooting for the West.  I was.  I'm still allowed a little fun as long as I don't violate the PC rules listed at the bottom of his posts.  For this PC allows those who don't care for loud obnoxious - and harmless dudes - to smite us.
