I'm sitting here wondering how you get 20/15 vision from that.

Now that we have gotten New Year's out of our system:
The MIACPP Hot Stove League is officially open :o
I am retiring a monitor of the HSL so this is my last official act. Topics for this year which ends on the first spring practice day are (but not limited to):
Beer
Fishing
Craft Beer
Ice fishing
Draft Beer
Wrestling for Duffman
Bottle Beer
Hockey for bennie
Canned Beer
Single Malt for bennie
Micro Beer
Timex for Johnnies
All other Beer not mentioned
Rolex and Lamborghini Veneno for tommies

Oops .... I forgot places that serve great catfish :)

Making a Murder (Netflix).

Anybody watch this yet?  Would love to hear some thoughts and theories.  Very sad that a 16/17 year old w/ an IQ of 60-70 was railroaded into a murder confession / conviction.

On a similar note, anyone listening to Serial? It is an awesome podcast!

Yes Bennie, I'm a Serial listener. In fact, I was listening to it while ice fishing, and drinking a beer.

Now that I've covered most of the topics, I don't really have anything else to say.

Happy New Year gang!

Whoa!  I wanted to see that happen.  It was a cool thing while it lasted.  It was looking a little precarious this fall, though.

OK, I thought of one more thing...is there a good explanation for this being done?...http://www.sctimes.com/story/news/local/2016/01/06/st-johns-university-art-installation-set-afire/78325812/

It was starting to fall over, I think.  Either that or organised crime.

Agreed... would have been cool to watch.  I brings back memories of the controlled burn of the old Flynntown houses.  They posted those online during the early days of the interwebs.  I wonder if they can be found online.

It was never meant to be a permanent fixture.  The original plan was to burn it down at Homecoming 2014, but somebody made the decision to let it stay for an extra year.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Homecoming would have been cool...an old school style bonfire.  Back when I was a kid in Henderson there would be a Homecoming Variety Show / Coronation on the Monday night of the game.  After the show everyone would go down to the park and there would be a huge bonfire.  It was about 12' high and consisted of all kinds of scrap wood, old furniture and who know what else...it was huge!!! They would also throw a dummy of the homecoming opponent.  Probably couldn't get away with that today.

New topic for the MIAC PP Hot Stove League.  After wearing contacts for 20 years, I took the LASIK plunge yesterday afternoon.  Holy crap, this is awesome.  It's so fast and so effective.  I'm already seeing 20/15 this morning.  I should have done this years ago!!!
I had the same experience only it was for hemorrhoids.  8-)

I'm sitting here wondering how you get 20/15 vision from that.
It's not a matter of acuity but outlook on life :)

Perra is officially on the market.

The pieces are in place  ;D

Curious though, if he thinks FCS, if he's willing to move away from Carly? He was very talented and coveted out of HS. Your typical D1 to D3 transfers usually havent gotten game reps with B1G program.

There was a D1 level dual threat QB lined up opposite UST in the Stagg Bowl and it is amazing how much it opens up other parts of the offense. You need many more pieces than just a talented QB (see Augsburg), but it can help you make a leap to the next level.

Where are people thinking, Northwestern (just up the road from Roseville)?  He might be able to jump in and start right away there.
