Avery has filed a self prepared appeal though I'm not sure on what grounds.

He also has a new lawyer(s) who claims to have new evidence that will free him...

A little off-season Hawthorn rumor: it's said that one of the most athletic talents ever to join the game, young Jaeger (pronounced YAY-gur) O'Meara who plays for the Gold Coast Suns, wants a trade to the Hawks when his contract expires after this coming season.  While it's always exciting to pick up phenomenal young talent I'm particularly hopeful because he he has the ultimate nickname.

The Jeager Bomb.

Boy, I am just lost with today's conversation.  I feel like I may be the only one that hasn't watched "Making a Murderer."

Thanks for the added info. There was plenty of other evidence that pointed to his guilt. And, as I'm sure you know, the prosecutors are bound to turn over exculpatory evidence to the defense. Something the defense is not obligated to do. The jury heard all the evidence, and probably weighed the "confession" as you did.

Since you brought it up, what other 'evidence' pointed to his guilt. Was there any physical evidence, or was it just speculation? How can he be charged with rape when all they have is some charred bones - they can't even prove that she was raped let alone that Brendan did it. From what I have seen (and researched), his confession is the only so called 'evidence' they have. I just don't understand how Brendan could have been convicted beyond reasonable doubt. Don't get me wrong, I don't know if he is guilty or not, but I don't think there is evidence beyond a reasonable doubt.

Kangaroo court. Maybe. But I would rather see it tested in a real courtroom, if there is any standing for such an appeal, rather than the courtroom of public opinion.  Particularly since public opinion seems more focused on the sensational thiught of police and prosecutorial misconduct rather than the boring old rape/torture/murder/dismemberment/cremation which occurred.

I haven't watched it either and from the conversation, we haven't missed a thing  :)

At my age, I've just gotten used to being out of the loop.

Anyone else sick of the "committing" garbage?  This is D3.  The only commitment is you telling the coach that you're going to show up on the first day of practice and then your parents sending in your tuition check. ::)

Yes it's getting a little tiresome.  A lot of Twitter self promotion.

Yeah, but if there can't be 'commitment' talk, we're stuck with Netflix series.  Of course there is always beer, ice fishing, beer, Swedish bikini whatevers, beer, etc.

I don't know if it available except very locally, but I'm rather fond of Arbor Brewing Company's Ypsi Gypsy.  (D'oh! ;D)
