No worries, art and tiger.  I'm glad you liked it.

One player on that Hawthorn side was a natural Johnny. John "The Rat" Platten. Best nickname ever.

Oz, sounds like a little drama with the neighbors down under.

Yeah, it was quite a story. And it stopped my own Burundi-based plans for Mrs Oz in their tracks.

He thought $7K was going to get his wife killed?  The going rate for that has to be way more!

A tradition unrivaled...

Mr.MIAC

A couple quick questions for MN hunters on the board: How is hunting land in northern MN selling nowadays? Do you have any recommendations on good realtors? I own some hunting land in Lake County that we're thinking about letting it go to a good home. Basically with us living outside the region it's not being used and that's a waste no matter how you look at it.

My exact thought.  I guess he got what he paid for.

The average annual income in Burundi is $560. So he was paying 12.5x the average annual income. The average annual income in the U.S. is $50,756. So the equivalent rate would be $634,450. Just saying... it was a good chunk of money for that area of the world.

Well, way to go and research and make us look like fools.

Knowing where Burundi is, I had an idea how it would turn out before the research. I did have to look up the specifics. But you are welcome!

Thanks for setting me straight, but according to Meat Loaf's "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" $634,450 could still be a bargain.

Some great Bud Grant anecdotes at MMQB.

Love how he couldn't care less about saying the polite comment. Just a straight shooter, gotta like that. Also, I love the idea about eliminating the fair catch, along with a 5 yd cushion for the return man. That would eliminate the high speed collisions, eliminate the boring fair catch and provide some great drama.

I do my hunting in central Minnesota but, the right land will always sell. If you have land that butts up to state forest that is a plus. If you have more that 40 acres, that's also a plus, especially if it is not butting up to state land.
I would suggest calling the city offices/Chamber of Commerce in the town that is nearest to where the land is and inquire about a Realtor.

I hope this helps  8-)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Talk about coincidence.  Johnny "The Rat" Platten was in the paper today.

BROWNLOW Medallist John Platten is breathing easier after learning there are no signs he will suffer long-term effects from multiple concussions during his decorated career.

Platten, 52, has had scans after concerns over an estimated 40 concussions during the career and was concerned over losing some of his short-term memory.

St. Thomas released their 2015 Highlight Tape: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFClVZNhCcA&sns=tw

I heard the move premiered at the theater over on 2nd Street.

15 mins is a long highlight tape. Was the length because of the number of games they played or did they need that much time to fit in all the catch phrases? #RollToms #PrideAndPassion #GameTime #etc
