The 184lbs kid from Wabash was pretty crazy too. He took out W&L's first National Tournament participant in a decade in like 4 minutes making it look easy. Very impressive.
Must be Riley Lefever from Wabash who is ranked #1 @ 184. I don't know all of the names from the other schools but I have heard of him. Clearly Wabash has a good wrestling program.

Did this get mentioned on the board?  I know the confirmation of Rogosheske moving on was discussed:

QuoteHamline University (D-III – MN): Hamline has promoted defensive coordinator Charles "Chip" Taylor Jr. to the head coaching position. Taylor Jr. has been on staff the past three seasons and replaces Chad Rogosheske, who recently took the head coaching job at Capital (D-III – OH).

57, I'm about halfway through and admittedly it's very strange for Josef K., but he's such a self-centred crap-weasel that I don't feel much sympathy for him at the moment. I'm interested in the finish but kind of looking forward to him getting the short end of the stick.

The pre-season games for the AFL have come to a close and like with pre-season in most sports the games themselves don't tell you much about how teams will do in the regular season, but there are some hints on how the game will be played.

Every team is now playing a zoned defense, like Hawthorn has since 2008. Old habits can die hard and the man-on-man defense of the first 150 years of football is dead. Hawthorn, taking a leaf from West Coast, has been trialing different five man zones (playing the sixth defensive player almost free and floating in the midfield as a ready made fast break pivot on a turnover.  It leaves your defense undermanned, but if you can cover the space then the turnovers can be deadly. Hawthorn score 88 points off turnovers against North Melbourne last night).  That set-up came good last night against North Melbourne with an absolutely smothering 30 minutes in the third quarter, out scoring North 50 - 13.

Offensively, it looks like Hawthorn is playing a game of Three Card Monty. The forward six and midfield six rotate and interchange positions so much that is makes it very difficult for defensive sides to maintain their accountabilities (hence the zone defense becoming so popular, it's the only way to defend against the fluid mid and forward setups).  In order to overcome zoned defences, it looks like the Hawks are running complex offensive patterns/routes that will pull zones out of shape, leaving space for play.  The high rotation between Hawthorn players in different positions makes it hard for defense so to recognise who is running which route. Or at least that's how it looked last night.

So, it's two weeks now until the season opens on Easter weekend. It's looking good for hawthorn to play for, their fourth consecutive championship. Fingers crossed.

Is that what we call losing in the quarterfinals (the first round of this tournament) now?  Could also say you were tied for 8th.  Also since there's only 49 D3 women's hockey teams that's equivalent to finishing 72nd in hoops out of the 439 teams.

I think we've identified SJU's new motto: Non Materiae Magnitudine.

After reading that severe display of UST homerism miac952, I don't think you are training to be an SID you are training to be Sid:

How dare you sir! Len Caruzzo is a close personal friend of mine ;D

I am a big fan of the Sunday night sports show. My personal favorites are when someone's dog is running around the set. I also enjoyed Sid calling Reusse an anti-Semite for doing to many UST football articles this Fall and not being kind about the gophers.
