I'll bother you with this again as it gets closer to date, but for people who like to "plan ahead" .... would love to see any d3board posters or lurkers who can make it to any signings I'll be doing in Minnesota in few weeks for my book Rise and Fire.

On Saturday April 9 I'll be at the Mankato Barnes and Noble at 1.
On Wednesday April 13 I'll be in Winona at time to be determined, likely at the BookShelf.
On Sunday April 17 I'll be at the St. Cloud Barnes and Noble at 1.
On Wednesday April 20 I'll be on the campus of MN West in Worthington at 1 p.m.

So if you're around any of those places and want to stop by the event and say hi (and buy a book!) I'd love to see you.
sfury, the St. Cloud B&N would be the most convenient for me,however I have plans on the 17th. Could you maybe stop by my house..???

Of course. I will do a personal 15-minute reading as well. Just be aware that appearance fees are similar to what it is when people hire Beyonce for their bar mitzvah.

Big news from the Sagatag household. My wife gave birth to our first child, Emily, on Monday at 3:02 p.m.
Mom and baby are great. Dad is tightly wrapped around his little girl's finger.

Congrats!!

Sam, get sleep whenever you can the first few years.  Once she's a teenager, she'll keep you sleepless for a different reason! :o

Congratulations and Enjoy!!

The whole family is off to the MCG today to watch the final match of the opening round. The Cats (Mrs Oz & #3) vs the Hawks (me & #'s 1 & 2). I'm hoping the smallest man on the pitch can once again soar over the giants in the Geelong backline.

Well, it's the half and it ain't good. Geelong have been hungrier, harder and more active. It doesn't matter how big your stars are or how great your game plan is. If you're out worked then you're out scored. Geelong lead 67-37. It's a long way back from here.

Hawthorn took their aggression pills at the half, thank God, and we've got a match.  They ran hard, played with their heads over the ball and flung themselves with reckless abandon at the contested ball. And it has paid dividends, as it always does. Hawks lead 72-70 at the third quarter break.

EDIT: Well, Geelong came back hard in the last and Hawthorn could not weather the storm. We lost 116-86. Dang.

Ditto, I was off the grid for a while.  Congrats Sam, there's nothing better.

Give him a Minnesota weekend and see how he likes it. I moved my wife from FL to AL and she almost headed back after a rainy spring. Can't imagine what a midwest winter feels like to these kids.
