Oz, my cat and your 'roo can tip an extra one tonight!

A deal.

In honor of National Beer Day here's a joke dedicated to the late, great Janesvilleflash:

Three bad ass bikies were sitting in a biker bar.

A man came in, already drunk, sat down at the bar and ordered a drink.  The man looked around and saw the 3 men sitting at a corner table.  He got up, staggered to the table, leaned over, looked the biggest one in the face and said, "I went by your grandma's house and I saw her in the hallway, buck naked.  Man, she is fine!"

The biker looked at him and didn't say a word.  His buddies were confused because he was a bad ass and would fight at he drop of a hat. The drunk leaned on the table again and said, "I got it on with your grandma and she is good, the best I ever had!" The biker still said nothing.

His buddies were starting to get mad. The drunk leaned on the table again and said, "I'll tell you something else boy, your grandma liked it!"

The biker stood up, took the drunk by the shoulder and said, "Damn it, Grandpa, you're drunk! Go home!"

Big news from the Sagatag household. My wife gave birth to our first child, Emily, on Monday at 3:02 p.m.
Mom and baby are great. Dad is tightly wrapped around his little girl's finger.
I'm a bit late with this, but Congratulations!!  ;D

OldAuggie,

They finally filled the SJU wrestling job!

"College wrestling: Willaert takes over SJU job full-time"
Yes! I saw it on twitter yesterday. Congrats SJU ! I bet he is recruiting some of those SCSU wrestlers that could be looking for a new wrestling home. I assume Augsburg is too.  Anyway it's good for the West Region to have the SJU program on it's feet again.

Congrats Sagatag!

Per a tweet from Terry Horan Griffin Neal signed a 3 year deal with the New Orleans Saints.

I knew Duffman would appreciate this,so that's why the baseball subject here on the football board. My local newspaper ran a story about the Sr. baseball captains for this season. The catcher has already "signed" with St. Scholastica. Yep, last time I checked CSS was a D3 institution  ;)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Pat and Keith have a new podcast to listen to, if you haven't already. I found it fun to hear them again and hear about some things from around the country that you wouldn't hear anywhere else. Go to the front page and take a listen.

Nice to see SJU reward a successful assistant coach w/ the head wrestling job. Soccer, football, basketball and now wrestling have all recently hired internal candidates as head coaches. They all were also all alumni. Track & hockey hired external candidates, though I don't think the latter had any qualified internal candidates.

I'm far from a wrestling supporter but I do like SJU continuing to sponsor the sport. D3 liberal arts schools should be offering as many opportunities as possible. At the same time, what impact does it have across the department? The Tommies are on a tear as of late, and don't sponsor wrestling. I don't think the correlation is causal, but I imagine having to support one fewer activity helps spread budgets out to the others.

UST had a wrestling program and dropped it. The story on the street is that they were looking for a way to save some money and did not want to spend more money to improve their wrestling facility so they dropped the sport.

UST dropping wrestling was a sad day. Remember it well. I'm not even a big wrestling guy, but I really struggle with the cost argument. Wrestling is one of the cheapest sports to sponsor.

It was disappointing to see St Cloud State gash a few sports recently

Something had to give. Can't do all sports.

Are they going abroad again? I thought you could only do an international trip once every three years?

Cool poster, Oz. Good get.

I've got some great memories of that city ... none of them football related, however. Can't imagine the Tommies got much of a test on the field there but probably a great trip in other regards.
