There were a lot of fines handed out but, luckily, no suspensions.
Is the AFL run by Stanley Blackburn & Wally Carbo? ;)

I can't remember half the time if I'm using American or Australian phrases. What the heck do we call it if someone is suspended a few games?

Also, I meant to say last week, not last night. The Hawks play Gold Coast today.

It was a chilly 38 degrees in Tasmania when the Hawks accounted for Gold Coast in a game so boring that even the drying paint complained.

On the good side, Hawthorn head into their bye half a game clear at the top of the standings.  It's the first time this year they have finished a week at the top, although Sydney should pass them on scoring percentage when they beat the Bulldogs during the Hawks' off week. The Hawks have yet to put a really good game in but they keep winning.

With the Family in Washington DC on part of a 10 day vacation. Yesterday we were walking near the White House when the guys in black showed up on the rooftops and three helicopters came in with Marine One landing on the south lawn.  Very impressive place.

I can't believe no one here is talking about Brexit!
I heard UST is going to Brexit the MIAC and seek refuge in the UMAC  :o

Wouldn't it be "Thoexit". or "Texit"?

Fact....There is a college football coach that has landed a helicopter at UST.

And that was money well spent.
Our of the three players he was recruiting that night he only landed one.  Jimmy Gjere from Irondale redshirted in 2010,  started five games in 2011 and then stopped playing in 2012 because of a recurring injury.

Yeah, it was a classic Brewster move...Henderson was never coming to the U, but it would have reflected poorly if Brew didn't at least try to recruit him.

On the cost side, $2K is immaterial to their recruiting spend in total, so as much as I'd like to, can't really fault him there.

I was just now browsing some vids on an Australian sporting website and found this highlighted...

http://www.theroar.com.au/tv/battler-college-team-pulls-off-incredible-trick-play/

By the way, a "battler" in Australian slang means:

An Australian that is always trying to do things right. Unfortunately he always stuffs up and makes a fool of himself. Friends, workmates, family etc. ridicule him because of his misfortune.

I laughed twice over when I saw this.  Ha!  Double Ha!
