Yes, embarrassingly, I had forgotten that UST had snuck in a second D1 QB just after a three article blitz in the Star Trib about Perra.  One of them will be playing at BU before long.

Tom Thumb is right, but I'm sure one of them will end up discontented and will likely leave UST or at least leave the team.  A kid who comes down from D1 to D3 isn't going to be content in a backup role, even if he's one of the F.A.M.I.L.Y.

So all these QBs are gunning for the top spot at UST, but backup status doesn't necessarily mean anyone's leaving the team. These guys are all talented athletes and it isn't unheard of to have players switch positions at UST.

I'm sure at least one of them is practicing the behind the back toss out of a fake PAT for the 2 point conversion as I type this......

I'm sure they are but that trick was last year, what's new for this year?

Green played in Southern Miss' spring game in April (https://www.instagram.com/p/BEmZWfpI-RE/?taken-by=gabegreen6) and then decided to leave. All of those articles on Perra were back in January. Maybe Pat or someone else can correct me, but I thought coaches were not allowed to contact players when they are on other teams.

If I had to guess, Green was likely recruited by UST when he played HS ball in Illinois. Once he made the decision to leave, he reached out to UST and let them know he was interested in possibly transferring. It looks like he narrowed his options down to Northern Iowa, Marian, and UST in early May. Now, generally how most of these bounceback transfers come about is that they are kids who the school recruited out of high school and the door is left open when the kid takes a scholarship offer or chooses to walk on at a higher level school.

Nailed it. Green wasn't 2nd on the depth chart coming out of spring ball at Southern Miss and saw the writing on the wall. It all sounded like it came together quickly. Ended up weighing both Northern Iowa and UST.

Sounds like Perra and Fenske were neck and neck in Spring ball. Green will be in the mix too. Fenske has the advantage of being in the offense for a few years. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. One that is absolute is that UST will have a QB that can see over the O-line for the first time in a while. Both Gould and Tracy were shortchanged in height. All three of these guys are 6'1+

However, when it happens at UST they are not raiding a higher level but are getting "bounce back" transfers. Interesting.
