My guess is lasers are not allowed at Bethel.  No alcohol.  No dancing.  No lasers.

That's a shame. One would think lasers would come in handy with the enforcement of their rules. A good laser could detect if the door is open 18 inches, if there's 4 feet on the floor, if there's any gyrating going on, if there's room for the Lord.

Unless SJU was using a laser to time those 40's you need to take it with a grain of salt. Add .15 to .2 seconds and you've have what a handheld 40 would translate to under the laser timed conditions of the NFL combine.

That would still be a solid time though.

SJU's been laser timing since before my day.  I was anything but fast, but it's still humbling.

They actually had to time my 40 with a sundial because I was too slow for the laser.

On the topic of clean living at Bethel, why does the university find alcohol consumption objectionable? I read the Covenant of Life Together, which states the Bethel community aims to "discover the mind of Christ and to become like Christ." It seems Christ was pretty okay with alcohol, given the whole turning water into wine bit. Also, it says members of the Bethel community must "abstain from illicit or nonmedical use of drugs." I assume this includes marijuana. Here in DC it's legal to smoke marijuana for medical and/or recreational purposes. Let's say a Bethel student does an internship here over the summer; they start experiencing migranes from all the BS floating around this town. Are they allowed to toke a little reefer?
