SJU's Preseason Roster

Dumo's been doing some work!  16 from California, 4 from Louisiana, 3 from Texas, and 2 from Florida.
Only 192 players?  Thought they were shooting for 200?  Can barely field a JV team this year.

On the topic of clean living at Bethel, why does the university find alcohol consumption objectionable? I read the Covenant of Life Together, which states the Bethel community aims to "discover the mind of Christ and to become like Christ." It seems Christ was pretty okay with alcohol, given the whole turning water into wine bit. Also, it says members of the Bethel community must "abstain from illicit or nonmedical use of drugs." I assume this includes marijuana. Here in DC it's legal to smoke marijuana for medical and/or recreational purposes. Let's say a Bethel student does an internship here over the summer; they start experiencing migranes from all the BS floating around this town. Are they allowed to toke a little reefer?
I don't get down on Bethel for the rules they supposedly impose on their students, a lot of people live their lives not necessarily only by what is legal.  I suspect there are a number of catholics on this board that attend UST/SJU (and other schools) and abortion comes to mind.  If a UST intern got pregnant out in DC would abortion be the answer because it's legal??

Nonetheless, I do like the joke, How do we know Bethel has students with higher religious character?  Just ask them.

Wow, now back to football.

I think the only time you might see those red pants again is in the Red/White spring game.  Even then I'm not sure if Gary would bring them out.

Aside from the Auggie Tech loss, I kind of liked the red pants.

A tradition unrivaled...

That Auggie Tech loss had nothing to do with red pants and everything to do with L.O.F.T. (it's a golf term)  ;D
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Multiple uniform combinations makes you a GLORREEEEE BOYYYYY. Two uniform combinations, no names on jerseys, no stadium lights, no advertising, no electronic scoreboard, no girls, no pads, no football, no goal posts, no bleachers, no yard lines, no fans. Just two teams in a cranberry marsh, playing with a large rock, the way Jesus and Gagliardi played it.

Bench isn't correct often but when he is he really nails it.

(Now please turn to page 25 of your Johnnie Gameday program...)

Sounds like the tailgate lot up at SJU (while the science center lot is under construction) will be the paved parking lot down by Flynntown.  Better grab a roadie for the walk to the stadium (in a red solo cup of course).

Where'd you hear that?  I was afraid that is what they'd do.  :(

Was talking to a buddy, supposedly it's out on Facebook (I don't Facebook myself).  Was hoping for Mary Lot.  Hopefully it's just a one year hiatus from the Science Center Lot.
