Carleton scrimmages UWRF on Wednesday, when is everybody else having their scrimmages?

On a Wednesday?  Isn't it typically on a Saturday? Maybe I'm just getting old...

We have been through that with our oldest daughter who is starting her second year of college this fall.  Glad to help any way I can.

Second daughter is coming up and is one year behind your son.

I just wanted to welcome Keith to MN, as I was just listening to the D3 podcast this morning and from context, it sounded like Keith made the flight to the Twin Cities. Hope your time here was profitable and you got out to see some of what this state has to offer visitors. Looking forward to yours and Pat's work in Kick off when it hits the "stands" tomorrow.

Other way around, actually. I make the trip to VA every year for this. But yeah! He should come here instead!

I made the jump when you mentioned the two papers "in this town" and assumed you meant the Minneapolis Star and Pioneer Press. My bad.

Ahh yes! Washington also has two.

Not sure if any of you watched the wrestling action in Rio, but this was one of the craziest things I have ever seen occur!

Mongolian Wrestling Coaches Strip in Protest of Loss

Also, Kyle Snyder, a 20-year old Ohio State wrestler, capped off one of the most incredible 12-months of wrestling ever:
QuoteIt's been an incredible past 12 months for Snyder. In that time frame, the Maryland native won a World title, an Olympic gold medal, and his first NCAA title, defeating the defending heavyweight champ, Nick Gwaizdowski of North Carolina State, and snapping his 88-match win streak. The last U.S. wrestler to rack up World, Olympic and national collegiate titles in the same amount of time was John Smith, six-time World and Olympic champion, who is now head coach at Oklahoma State.

It was a rather disappointing showing for the US, but Snyder's gold eased the pain a bit.

A tradition unrivaled...

Mongolia: Clearly not ready for Prime Time.

Looked like the wrestler knew he screwed up.

As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

It looks like I'll be carting some stuff back to DC after my trip to MN in late September. That means I'll be checking a bag with plenty of extra room on the outbound flight from DC. If anyone attending the Tommie/Johnnie game has any East Coast beer requests send me a PM.

Natty Boh?

Is that one serious? Isn't it available in MN? If not, it's no problem for me to pick some up. My neighborhood is hipster central--plenty of civil war era beards, ironic mustaches, suspenders, and fedoras. In short, the natty boh flows like rivers in these parts.
