You can't get any less East Coast than this guy:
....and he probably does not care about or know much about those east coast conferences and teams that never go any where in the playoffs but he is not on the D3football.com podcasts. Yet.

It looks like I'll be carting some stuff back to DC after my trip to MN in late September. That means I'll be checking a bag with plenty of extra room on the outbound flight from DC. If anyone attending the Tommie/Johnnie game has any East Coast beer requests send me a PM.

I'd pack a Dogfish sampler.

Alright -- since you posted your stuff about Keith and about Kickoff in the next sentence, you can probably see why I thought they were related.

I think if you listened to the last podcast we both made it perfectly clear -- I'm here (literally right here in the Minneapolis suburbs) and it's easy for me to get out and see the MIAC, WIAC, IIAC, UMAC. Neither one of us has the ability to follow all 248 teams and all 28 conferences in minute detail, so doesn't it make sense for me to be the part of the tag-team that understands these guys a little more than he does, and vice versa? That way, together we can provide a more complete picture.

And again, Keith's understanding of the MIAC beyond the recent playoff entrants had no bearing on the rest of your complaints -- one typo, a possible omitted player and a kicker who decided not to come back or whatever. And then Kickoff's judgment call on what Augsburg's record would be. Keith didn't write it, and he didn't edit it. (I did.) So I'll take the heat for not catching the typo and I'll stand by the predicted record.

On the podcast, we talk about the MIAC and WIAC all. the. time. Maybe not every episode, but really ... people complain far more about too much MIAC/WIAC talk than the reverse. But it is a national podcast, and it's a big nation. One hour a week is not a ton of time for 28 conferences and 248 teams.

I truly appreciate all you guys do with this site and for D3 football. Also really appreciate your long reply Pat.  When I listen to the podcasts I need to slow down and realize that you guys have it split up in two parts and that you cover your territory and Keith covers his.  That is why I notice this "perceived" lack of our area coverage and if Keith is on there I basically turn it off because I get frustrated hearing about some school out east that might make the playoffs but would never finish at .500 in the MIAC.  Yes I understand the huge amount of schools that you guys cover and everyone needs to hear about the area schools and this creates the problem.  So thank you sincerely for doing all of this for us D3 junkies out here.  We (I) really apreciate it. I guess I just had to stand up on my hind legs tonight and let it all out.

Ok how about this: If the accuracy of the summary was the same for SJU would you expect less than what I brought out?  Should not be any different for any team and that is probably the straw that broke the camels back tonight. Keep up the good work Sir!

At least they would know Keith's name. :)

Why guy is Keith?
He's a reporter/writer who has an ax to grind with Augsburg and the Augsburg football program....this goes back years. Haven't you been paying attention?  ;)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

BDB-
Would really like to do that and thanks for the great invite but I will have take you up on it next year. Going to the State Fair Saturday with my wife, 4 young ladies (2 daughters and friends) and another Mom. I had hope that this scrimmage was during the week @ Augsburg but no. I look forward to hearing about anything you have to report  ;)

Don't like Kickoff's predicted record for the Auggies? Well, fret not! You'll like my model's projections approximately one win better!

I can live with 5-5 for this young team. Like I said I see 5 wins minimum.

Let's look at Bethel. AUG beat them the last two years in row with Scott and Sonnenfeld. Last year on a dry field we beat Bethel and yes they did not have their starting QB. Seems to me that both teams are trending upward. Both teams will have a new QB. Right?. AUG defense which truly stuffed Bethel two years in a row when it counted is improved over last year.

Bethel brings back both QB's who started last year. Where's the fact checking?? It'd be nice if this board could ensure we didn't have know-nothing southerners trying to talk intelligently about teams that play in the great white north  ;) ;)

And giving up 61 pts and 42 pts respectively the last two years isn't truly stuffing anyone. (said with full acknowledgement that we gave up 62 and 49 ... no one's happier to see Scott graduate than the Royal's D!!)  ;)

Just had to give you a little back OA. Love the passion for your Auggies.

Interesting little subtext to the Augsburg vs. UNWStP game is that Auggie great Scott Hvistendahl is the WR's coach for the Eagles.

As for Bethel in 2016. They should bounce back nicely. They got killed by injuries up front last year and at key positions (QB & LB). But they get nearly all of those guys back from injury and the bonus is the backups have a lot more playing time. What sucked last year should serve us this year.

I still think SJU & UST are the teams to beat, but I could see Bethel at 9-1 with a win over the Sura-less Johnnies. Historically under Coach J when BU has a down year they bounce back really well the following year.

Early Hot Take: Gunnar Bloom is gonna be a stud for BU. I think he breaks out this year (assuming the OLine is healthier than last year).

If you understood how much I know about him......you would understand I know his situation. The other QB was not a starter type  kid IMO, I watched him, so I assume Trey will leave him in his dust.

Hazzben I live in the Northwest Metro of the Twin Cities. Not exactly the south but I understand the former Auggie poster was from Texas so I'll give you this one. I attend about 4 Auggie games each year. Here's one for you, my daughter went to High School with Gunnar Bloom. I watched him for three years tear up the Mississippi 8. He is a stud. Yes.
