You or anyone going to the scrimmage tonight?
Is it at O'Shaughnessy? I'm tempted to drag the kids over there to run around after dinner. I did enjoy watching Trettel run last year, and sat right in front of his dad (chatted with him quite a bit) for the Linfield game when Roberts broke the rushing record. That was pretty cool.

Any clarity from the UST scrimmage or any other source as to who the starting Tommie QB will be in week 1?
I've heard the job is Perra's to lose, but I'm not sure what weight was behind that suggestion.

I haven't seen much other than the MIAC Camp Tour video that was recently posted. In the video, it looked like Fenske was running with the first string and Perra with the second string. But I'm not sure how much can be deduced from a 3 minute video with a few plays. There is another scrimmage tonight at 6pm at UST. I'm sure a starter will be named soon for week 1.

What was interesting in the video is that it looked like Jordan Roberts was on the training table in the background with a lower leg injury. Looked like an ankle, but tough to tell. Might be something to keep an eye on. In Roberts' absence, Trettel was running with the first string and freshman running back Emitt Peisert was getting some reps with the second string guys.

No, unfortunately I live in Las Vegas so I don't get to see UST play much in person. Looks like the scrimmage will be at UST.  Have fun if you decide to go!

Sadly, I've got a 6 year old with a fever and my wife is gone tonight, or else I'd be there and let the kids run around a bit.

Quick, guess which team brings back the most experienced quarterback in the MIAC this season?

Here are some more photos from the RCTC scrimmage on Saturday: https://ust5thquarterclub.shutterfly.com/2015pictures/15933.

UST released their 2016 roster: http://www.tommiesports.com/sports/fball/2016-17/roster.  One name that stood out was Gopher transfer Josh Parks.

UST also moved a few of their QBs around. Thomas O'neil moved to WR and Dylan Andrew moved to LB.

That is very interesting.... any idea on his housing status, dorm or off campus apartment? If so, apartment in St. Paul or by the U? The reason for asking is that he enrolled at SJU last fall but had some conflict with getting out of his lease of an apartment near the U. Not sure if he then continued classes at the U or just lived in the apartment until the lease was fulfilled and worked full time. He should be fresh, not having played (other than practice in 2014 as a redshirt) since the fall of 2013.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Glad to see, when looking at high school film this kid is pretty dang good.  Hopefully that shores up the QB position for the next four years.

Oz,

Did you tune in to watch the Cal game down under? Sounds like it was a high octane, entertaining example of american football for the Aussies!

I've got nothing. I was surprised to see him on the roster.

The backfield is starting to get a little crowded. It will be interesting to see if he gets a few carries behind Roberts. He was getting some reps with Perra during the RCTC scrimmage.

Coming out of hibernation here...

The bar exam consumed my summer.

I drove through Collegeville this past weekend after spending some time at my parents. I notice Alcuin was closed and all of Science Lot 1 was blocked off to accommodate for construction crews and equipment.

My wife, daughter, and I plan on coming to homecoming weekend. My big question is where will Stiftungsfestivities be held now?

I have known about Josh Parks transferring to UST since this spring but kept it quiet out of respect to the family member that told me about it.  I watched him play corner in the U of M spring game a couple years ago and I think one of the reasons he wanted to transfer from the U is so he could play RB again. That is what I was told.

I scooped Tom Thumb. Nice.

I heard about it during the winter but also didn't chose to share on here...gotta protect those sources.  I so believe part he did not go to SJU last year because was unable to get out of his lease.  In addition I heard that he is good friends with Perra.

A couple other things to note.
SJU has 7 CDH kids on the roster.
UST only has 3.
I might need to stop referring to U$T as CDH West.

Another item of note:
U$T has only 23 sophomores listed on their roster.  Does that seem low to anybody else?
SJU has 60...which I think is about 15-20 more than a team might need.

Hey Old Auggie, I see you. I thought you couldn't join me at the Stout/Augsburg scrimmage because you were going to the fair?

Anyway, I'm here. Your secondary might be a bit of an issue this year. The Blue Devils have gotten behind it on a regular basis. If they were keeping score it would be about 35-6 Devils.

Yeah we are leaving here soon. Seriously. Thanks for the report, not good news on the secondary or the fact that we could only score 6 points.

Is Oscar Dorothy playing any QB for Stout?
