Bethel D?  Wut?

The Tommies after a slow start look to roll over UWEC.

Concordia drop a game to Jamestown against which the Cobbers were heavily favoured.

Maybe this is GAC's chance.

It looks like UST is finding its rhythm, but the first quarter was sloppy. To be honest, I'm a little distracted by updates to the Jacob Wetterling case and the game has been relegated to background noise. Everyone's innocent until proven guilty, but if Heinrich is found to have committed this crime--abducting and murdering a child, then remaining silent for nearly 30 years while the child's family and community search for him--he's a total monster. Everyone's expressing their sadness and of course that's understandable. I think my sadness is turning into anger...

Yikes, I agree with the rev on something...
Everyday is payday in paradise.

Hmm ... might have overestimated Augsburg this season in Kickoff. We had them beating Northwestern.
I had the same thought. I have to apologize for my rant earlier and calling you out on your prediction Pat.

Plain and simple:

That dog won't hunt.

Congrats to Northwestern, they are a well coached team and those facilities are top notch.
I had Augsburg winning too. Both teams are breaking in a lot of new players on offense.  Glad you liked the facilities OldAuggie, hope I did a decent job of announcing some of those tougher Auggie names.

You were great AO. You announced them all perfectly and I was wondering how you would announce #24 and his long hyphenated name. Nice job.

After complaining for the last couple of years, I must compliment Stretch on getting it right yesterday at Collegeville.

I heard that, in honor of Gutierrez' trifecta, they would play under the name of St Juan's next week.

As far as the Jacob Wetterling news, and the scum who did it - this innocent until proven guilty is a legal construct. Either he did it and he's guilty, or he didn't and he's innocent. Unless you're on the jury, you can come to any conclusion you want. Since O J was not convicted, then I guess no one killed Ron Goldman and Nicole Simpson, and they should reappear alive since no one is guilty. WHAT?

A couple of random thoughts from Collegeville yesterday.
1.) Ritz72 is alive & well in Little Falls. His oldest daughter is a FY @ CSB. Good to see you Ritz!
2.) Evan Clark is real fast. If healthy this season,he is the X-Factor.
3.) Leonard Gutierrez took advantage of his debut in the starting line up.
4.) Johnnies need to clean up the sloppy penalties.
5.)RB by committee is a reality for 2016.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Don't packing in yet, Royals fans.  He may have had a bad day. Maybe a bug.

Also, you can't pin 734 yards on one guy. It's takes a whole squad to give up that much yardage. With both teams doing exactly the same it makes me think there was something in the water.

I would say based off this past week St. John's seemed to be the most impressive team in the MIAC, St. Thomas won pretty big but if you compare it to last year it was a bit disappointing. Will be hard to tell much for each of their first 3 games as neither team really plays stiff competition before they matchup on the 24th.

Only one weekend in the books so it's really too early to prognosticate too much.  SJU's offense did look pretty impressive at times and I think their D could be better this season.   Erdmann is possibly the best QB that the Johnnies have had in a number of years.  I also watched most of the U$T game and their offensive line didn't look as impressive as they did last year.  The first half was actually fairly competitive.  UWEC looks like they are improved and better coached than they were a year ago.  U$T also had their starting center go down with a knee injury.

Small sample size and all, but I don't disagree at all. I watched a chunk of the St John's game and the first 3 quarters of UST. St John's looked really solid. Erdmann was good and a lot of rushing contributors. St Thomas has a lot to work on, especially with the o-line.

U$T does not have the same o-line as last season.
