St Cloud unfortunately made the news Down Under. The news update said "a mall in Minnesota" so I looked it up.

Frickin' unbelievable.

The innocence was gone a while ago with other tragic events like Jacob Wetterling and others.This is yet another example that the world I grew up in is gone forever.

Fox News just spent  about a half  hour reporting the story.
Major kudos to Jason Falconer of Avon who heroically eliminated the problem.

tried to reply to the SJU targeting call earlier, Post never went through, maybe this one will. I was on the Oles sideline of the game pretty close to the call. There was absolutely nothing intentional or "deliberate" in the hit. The hit was shoulder pad height or below and to me not a case of targeting. The problem was that the hit was LOUD. Because it sounded so LOUD, I think the ref just flew the flag.

Is the D3 rule the same as D1? If so, intent does not matter. I can see this being an issue in D3 though without the benefit of review on such a difficult call. Any impact on players that would need to sit next week or did the call happen in 1st half?

Shame.  I wonder if this is a phenomenon limited to Johnnie games or a general trend with that rule.  Well, it will turn up soon enough if it is a trend.

You may be thinking of the Weber brothers on the tractor driving,but the youngest graduated about 4 years ago. Their family owns 13 John Deere dealerships and are doing fine. The dairy cattle event could be one of many,but rest assured the vast majority of multi-generational dairy farm families who milk between 300- 500 cows and own 1,000 acres of land would conservatively have a net worth of $7.5M. Not a bad type of family to marry into

Hmm, I don't see the cattle reference of which you speak. Don't beasts of burden in the Open Dairy Cattle event have human tenders? If anything, I'm (rightfully) implying that Johnnies and Bennies have an intimate understanding of farm animals, which is a good thing.

I like the rule for the safety of the game, but don't think it should be in d3 without replay.  Things happen so quickly on the field, and can look worse (or better) than they actually were.

Unrelated, but I like the red masks on the white helmets.  Could be nostalgia of that being the same combo I wore in high school, but I like the contrast.

BU- ugh.  They're close, but this looks to be a long year.
