This week's front page D3 poll is about the Johnnie-Tommie game - make sure to vote often.

This practice should be second nature for ChicagoTommie -- "Vote early, vote often."
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. *That's* the *Chicago* way!

Did U$T lose their internet connection?  Johnnie/Tommie week usually brings an influx of new Tommie posters, but it's been quieter than normal around here.
I would speculate their confidence level has dropped off a bit. :-\

I don't think that's the case. This game is just too early in the year. Neither team has played anyone, whoever loses will most likely get in the playoffs anyway, it's just no fun deciding the conference title in September. Maybe GAC will surprise someone, but the last two years they've just been a paper tiger through the first 6 games then come back to earth.

Yeah, I'd agree with that as a third party observer...I'll definitely tune in for at least part of the game, but it takes something out of the excitement when the conference is just a two team race, where both will end up in the playoffs, so it will basically just impact how many home games a given team might have.  Having the MIAC title decided in the second week of conference play is a bummer.

It sounds like anyone that wants to tailgate in the Flynntown lot is going to have to arrive around 8:30/9 a.m. at the latest.

Hey, don't discount the 3-0 Gusties. They just might edge out SJU for second place.  ;)

9:00am was too late to park in the Flynntown lot last weekend.  I suspect that lot is already filling up.

8:30 / 9 am will be too late to park in Flynntown.  I arrived at 9:10 am last week and couldn't get a spot.  I would consider parking at St. Ben's and taking Link bus over.  Bring your beverages in a large collapsable cooler that can double as a seat cushion at the game.

Two Tommies are sitting on a park bench reading their newspapers.

One notices the headline, "12 Brazilian Soldiers Killed."

Turning to the other, the first asks, 'Just how many is a Brazilian?'

Are any of you Johnnies intimately familiar with the pubs in St. Cloud? It seems like there's a surplus of slightly shabby dive bars and not much else. What are the "must see" places?

This is the Taco Bell where Russ Archambault stole some tacos.

This is the best one I believe?  A lot off Johnnies work there! so be careful...  ;D

It's been a few years for me, but I remember the White Horse having a great selection of microbrews.

I have always liked the Red Carpet's Martini Lounge: http://www.redcarpetnightclub.com/martini-lounge/
Just be careful, because the rest of "da carpet" is a St. Cloud State student bar.

I've been on this board for a while, and I don't know how we missed this blunder at the U of M at Crookston back in 2012:
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
