Go K Nights

Reminiscent of 2010 Carleton will be looking for a place to practice and a place to play for the rest of the year, other than Laird Stadium.  The Cannon River has flooded once again, leaving 7 feet of water on the practice fields, 3 feet on the game field, and forced the team out of the stadium.

I'm guessing with the price tag of the flood in 2010, the price tag to fix the practice fields and game field after the flood (spared the stadium) in 2014, and now this in 2016, they could have built a pretty nice stadium up by their rec. center with turf and everything.

I wonder when the administration there is going to start caring about athletics just a little bit, instead of half-assing everything.

Yikes.  I live in Maple Grove--we got 10" of rain Wednesday night, so all that water is heading south.  :-*

A tradition unrivaled...

I'm going to go with "continue to half-a$$ everything."

One of my Army buddies is a Carelton basketball alum and he has no real love lost for the athletic department.

You guys definitely deserve better than that. Spend some of that moldy money Carleton.

I'm sure the track can go somewhere else.

So the field at Carleton is flooded again?
Carp are probably swimming under the goal posts as we speak.

IMO Carleton football has been under water ever since Ramler left.

Some facts (and maybe a few falsehoods) about the Tommie-Johnnie game.
My favorite was:

Quote18. Nearly 60 years ago – and not knowing that Al Gore would invent the internet -- Trinity Christian (Ill.) College established their school nickname as the "Trolls." Their athletic website has a tag that reads: "Official Athletics Website of the Trolls." (And you thought that distinction this week belonged to the D3Football.com message boards).
