I found a really interesting website today for people, like me, who are interested in detailed analysis.  This one is on the Vikings, primarily the defense because that is worth analysing.

You may already know it, but if not then check out this site: http://vikingsjournal.com/

This was the first post I read.  It analyses the 8 sacks of Cam Newton on the weekend.  Gif's and everything to illustrate the step by step defensive plays.

Saw these replays tonight. The tackle "near the sideline" was actually a hit about 8 ft out of bounds on Parks.

But what really had Caruso fired up on the late hit out of bounds on Erdmann was the SJU coach (in a white shirt, not sure if that helps differentiate, don't know the coach's name) who came up and shoved UST's Dowdle after the play. Pretty ugly.

And let's be perfectly clear: the replays, particularly the end zone shots, also showed that the hit on Erdmann in the second half wasn't nearly as late or dirty as the SJU Faithful would like it to be. There was maybe a sliver of his cleat on the boundary, but he hadn't given himself up and the UST defender had committed to the tackle. It was a bad call on a bang-bang play, and completely inconsistent with the call the very same officials didn't make in the first half.

As far as the SJU coach, whichever one it was, is concerned, anything less than a formal apology for grabbing and shoving the UST player is classless. There's absolutely no excuse for initiating a physical altercation with an opposing player. That was complete garbage.

In all seriousness  the unwritten rule as a Football coach is you don't touch players from the other team. Separating your own players from something is fine. If it is on your sideline the officials handle the opposing teams players. I would hope that there is an apology extended in this case. Definitely caught up in the heat of the moment. I wonder if this is something the MIAC will stick its nose into.

I love the salaciousness of this rivalry.

"Classless"

Adjective

1. Anything a Linfield or SJU poster doesn't like about UST's football team

You used the word wrong. It can only be used to describe us. You see, if Linfield uses a selfie-stick to take a team photo with their coach showing off their national championship ring immediately after a road game, that's "gamesmanship." Or if SJU takes a team photo with John Gagliardi holding a sign congratulating him on 408 career victories on UST's home field, it's just "celebrating a coaching legend." If UST takes a picture at midfield after beating a rival in their home stadium an hour after everyone has left, that's "classless."

If SJU makes a questionable hit near the sideline on our freshman runningback, it's "playing aggressive football to the whistle." If we do it, it's "classless football that is coached by Glenn Caruso."

IMO with the exception of helping him up from the ground, warding him off to avoid being trampled or shaking hands following the game there is no circumstance in which a coach should put his hands on an opposing player.  Coaches need to maintain control of themselves.  The heat of competition is no excuse.

Would love to see the video however it's apparently playing on an imaginary video board inside of Clemens Stadium.

Speaking of which, the photo turned out great this year.

Rumor has it that the SJU administration is already thinking of ways to further restrict the UST student section for the 2018 game. When the Tommies rush the field from their designated viewing area in St. Joseph, they should get there just in time for the traditional victory photo.

It was available on Stretch internet until a few days ago.
It was highlighted last night in the film session in relation to a question asked by a UST fan (possibly parent). If I had the means, I'd love to throw it up on Youtube.

If it's as egregious as you'e making it out to be it only would take U$T a few minutes on Hudl to share the video with the MIAC and even publish on youtube.
