Great article!...My son who plays UST reflects the same feeling about the program, its nice to see that these kids, especially D1 transfers, realize the strength of the locker room culture of team and program. The team really looks out for team, even the guys on the 3rd scout team love their roll, and understand they are making the team better because they can see what they can contribute to the other players and the other players respect them for it.  Remember this is d3 football and most kids at this level play football because the really love the game.

Per the Rev's recent post I thought we were to expect less folksiness here.

This is from a brief interview with Johnnies TE Tommy Auger.  I'm not sure exactly why, but I find it funny. 

Q: You were also a year behind Jeff Fasching (the current Minnesota Gophers baseball pitcher and son of Johnnies head coach Gary Fasching) at Cathedral. You guys played together a lot in different sports. Did you learn anything about Gary through seeing him as a parent in those settings that some of your other teammates might not know?

A: ...But one thing I'd know that others wouldn't is that he made some really good cookies at Jeff's graduation party.  They were chocolate chip. And they were pretty tasty.
