"General seating tickets to the event will range from $15-35 for the 1:00 p.m. game (Gates open at 11:00 am)."

$35 dollars?  Probably another $15 to park, too.  This looks terrible.
I'm not spending $150 just to get my family of 4 into a D3 game.  The kids will of course need food, too.  Ugh.

Target Field Tommie-Johnnie is official.

I'm not planning on seeing any attendance records being broken.  Not with Target Field charging $10 for students and $15-35 for everyone else.  Students are hard pressed to show up when they have to pay. (See NCAA Playoffs).

Though I will do my best to get there with my family, I'm going to make a call on this one and conclude that the "big game atmosphere" is going to be...

I agree -- price point is probably too high to set a record with.

I'll find something better to do that weekend.  ::)
At least it's U$T giving up their home field.

I'm going to say, given the prices, that 8,000 at this game is going to be a stretch--a big stretch.

The MIAC Showcase was before my time. Anyone remember what the Dome used to charge for admission for those games?

Bull**** publicity stunt and the seats are going to be horrible!!!  $35 for a D3 game...even $15 is a bit steep.  My guess is they will get over 10,000 but nowhere close the the 17,000 mark.

Better than it would have been if they laid the field out from home plate out to center field.

Wow - just wow.

But, now I want to complain. Was the MIAC even involved in this deal? What about the U of M? Of course, what I am referring to is the clash of games already being played that day in the region. Why isn't this a 4:00 (4:10) pm start? Or even a 6:00 (6:10) pm start, better yet? The place has lights, for crying out loud. The MIAC has a chance to showcase its wares and three fourths of the fans will most likely continue to support their teams on their fields. Having a huge venue like this could have had more "bang for the buck" by making this game start later so that everyone in the conference could come out to the game.

I'll get off my soapbox now.

My in-laws and I went to the Pinstripe Bowl last year. (Short version of an otherwise boring story: My wife's family Christmas was in Philly last year, my wife and little brother-in-law are Indiana U. grads, it's only 2 hours to NYC from Philly, we had never seen the new Yankee Stadium, my father-in-law bought the tickets so I got in free.)

Probably the worst in-person football watching experience I've ever seen. We sat in the least worst seats (left-center next to the IU band) and it still wasn't worth whatever my father-in-law paid.

We're all burying the lead - it's a 1:00pm kick off. Is UST breaking up done paying for broadcast time on WCCO?

Yikes, yeah, too rich for my blood.  My previously stated intention to go to this game due to the venue was under the assumption that prices would be in the $10 - $15 range.

Agree with others, attendance won't be anything special...I'd be shocked to even see 8K that early in the season, at those prices.

I think they'd have financially done better with lower prices...could've packed 'em in, but apparently they failed to recall their basic econ lessons...

Sorry, it would've been $15 for students and $25-$50 for everyone else if it were a night game. (Electricity for lights costs money.)

It's going to look like a Thursday day game in September when the Twins have been out of the playoff picture since the second week of the season.

If it's a UST home game are they getting the gate?

If the past special event soccer games at Target Field, TCF Bank Stadium, and US Bank Stadium are any indication, there will be a "4 tickets for $40" deal offered when we get closer to the game.
