Augsburg is the stud team in the MIAC, the West, and probably the country, having played four Regionally Ranked Opponents. Oof.
Yes. I was thinking the same thing. SJU may only wish they had a schedule as tough as ours.  ;)

This season has been painful but I know the guys will gain a ton of experience this year.

I don't mind those rankings. I forgot that Coe was having a great season but otherwise as expected. Assuming all teams win out I imagine we'll be going to Iowa.  And then returning to Snelling Ave in Rnd 2, knock on wood. I imagine the Tommies open against Northwestern, UWW goes somewhere else, UWO plays Monmouth and UWP flys to Linfield.

Yes, having Concordia ranked is good for both the Tommies and Johnnies, and assuming nothing outlandish happens in the final two weeks, makes the #1s Mount (E), UWW (N), UMHB (S), UST (W).

...provided that the Johnnies can beat the Cobbers (and Pipers  ::) ).

Did I miss something???  Is there a chance Hamline or Macalester could be hosting a playoff game?  Maybe Bethel, Northwestern...probably not Highland Park HS.

I think Oz has been living down under too long and needs a refresher on Saint Paul geography and map skills.   ;D

Geographic skills notwithstanding Oz, I think UWW and UMHB will host throughout the playoffs, forcing UMU and Linfield to fly in the semis. UWP has a long row to hoe to get to the playoffs, and they might, but it doesn't look good.

And if UWO ends up in UMU's bracket, I think Oshkosh would win in Alliance.

As long as UMU is undefeated they will not travel. Tiebreaker between undefeated teams goes to previous year's playoff result, and no one had a better previous year than UMU.

The dome over Gagliardi Field has operational lights. Looks great.

I think it would be a mild travesty if they were to evaluate the profiles of Mount Union, Whitewater, and Mary Hardin-Baylor according to the selection/seeding criteria and call it a tie.

With that said, I fully expect that they will do exactly that.

Thanx for the reminder, so that puts Linfield into flying to St. Thomas in the quarters if the Tommies make it that far.

It's gonna be a fun last two weeks of the season - and then the play-offs. Gonna be a ride this year for sure.

There have been some huge strides by SJU in the "arms race" recently.  It looks like a great facility.  I can recall some pretty awful December practices--both outdoors and in the fieldhouse.  Neither option was great, but this dome with a turf field will be fantastic.  Now, they need a reason to practice into December!

Indeed!  That is a pretty neat feature...who all has domed fields now?  SJU, Augsburg...

I wonder if that will be a new trend around the conference?  It seemed like student centers, then fitness facilities...maybe domes now?

BU needs to get some field turf, first, of course...

Yes, having Concordia ranked is good for both the Tommies and Johnnies, and assuming nothing outlandish happens in the final two weeks, makes the #1s Mount (E), UWW (N), UMHB (S), UST (W).

The problem is it likely wont stay that way. If the Johnnies beat the Cobbers, they will fall out of the rankings, and both UST and SJU would then lose the strength of a victory over a regionally ranked opponent.

I have nothing to base it on, but for some reason I dont see a bracketed Tommie - Johnnie rematch in the 2nd round this year. Curious if maybe we would see an Oshkosh - SJU battle in round 2.
