Up next, the MIAC board dissects the Zapruder Film.

I would rather discuss that than discuss any more politics.  ;)  (not suggesting politics are talked about here, just in general)

Fortunately, political discussion is all over today.  After all, the 2020 campaigns won't start until, oh... tomorrow! ::)

I really wish the SJU/Cobber game was being played elsewhere.  I just can't justify a trip to Moorhead. :(
Fingers crossed for a positive "Stretch" experience.

They use Ustream, so lower quality but probably more reliable.

I think it was the GAC game that I watched that was terrible quality, but reliable.  I guess I will take that over constant freezing/buffering.

Not that it should surprise anyone, but Alvord will be starting on Saturday.

SJU Mid-Week Update

Not surprising at this point, but interesting  - at least for me - compared to mid-august thoughts.  I figured the story of the year for SJU and UST would be their D1 QB's taking over, and how they developed.

That certainly looked to be the trend for SJU, prior to Erdman getting hurt...but no serious PT for Perra with the game in question  (not that there have been many moments of question for UST).  I sort of wondered if he'd start the second half vs. BU when they were only up 7-0 at the half.

Erdmann was on fire, but something is off after the concussion.  With a playoff berth on the line, you have to go with what is working.  I fully expect a battle royale in camp next fall.

SJU and North Central (both freshman QB's) were #'s 1 & 2 in my mid-season passing efficiency analysis.

Seconded. We need to drop that thing like third period French.

Regional Rankings are out - at large teams from the west in the order they go on the board for Pool C picks:

1. Oshkosh
2. St. John's
3. Platteville
4. Concordia

All the rest are Pool A bids.

Concordia has to win against the Johnnies, and leap-frog both Platteville and St. John's in the secret final rankings to get to the second at-large place on the board from the West. I'll be very surprised if there will be more than 2 teams picked for Pool C from the West this year, regardless of the outcome of the MIAC game this weekend.

The quality of the broadcasts out of Cobberland is fine, but I'll warn you, two weeks ago they cut away from the Concordia / Carleton football game at 3:00 and went to a volleyball match. I'm certain it was a mistake (both were to have been broadcast), but football never returned. Fortunately, it wasn't much of a contest, but I expect this Saturday's game to be different.

Lots of marbles up for grabs on Saturday. This is the season ending sort of game we like. Do or die.  Go hard or go home.

Go Johnnies!
