If true, it just affirms the old adage: "nothing good happens after midnight, especially if you are on a recruiting visit and  and your hosts are also drunk"
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Oz, and others, KSTP has published an 80 page document that was "leaked" to them - it's pretty damning as far as to who did what that fateful night back in September. My take away is that it doesn't really help the current state of affairs, as it went sideways a long time back.

I went to find the doc you mention, art, and I see that the players have announced they will sue the university, the U president, the athletic director, the girl and the janitor who missed cleaning the third stall in the second floor bathrooms.

Still couldn't find the article you mention, though.

I read the police report.  Um.  Wow.  There was a whole lot of bad decision making going on there.

Yes Sir! Thanks for reporting this Tom Thumb, you are the official recruit analyst here.  I had hope that we would get him last year and for some reason it did not happen but I noticed a few weeks ago that he was with the team. I have known of him since his high school days at Armstrong and he will fill one of the missing pieces that we needed this year. He is a coaches kid and should be a big upgrade for us next fall.

So, Augsburg will be his 4th college?  (UW-EC, Itasca CC, Robert Morris U, and Auggie Tech)
What kind of eligibility will he have?

Not sure on total years but I know he did not burn any eligibility at Robert Morris. I am guessing he has two years left. Burned a year at UW -EC and a year at Itasca CC is my guess.

Tommies at #6

FWIW, someone else has already noted that Linfield seems a little high in the poll.

I guess you could quibble with the 4, 5, 6 group, and again with the 7 -11 or 12 grouping, but it would be just that - quibbling. Well done IMO.

If he dropped out of Robert Morris before the first game he should still have 6 semesters to play 2 seasons, or 5 semesters to play 2 seasons if he just quit the team and is still a full-time student.

If this Gopher Football story wasn't so terrible, I'd say to cue the Yakety Sax theme song from The Benny Hill Show.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Yeah it is ugly-ugly and getting more so everyday. Lawsuits, transfers, firings (maybe) it's all so distracting from the actual bowl game and I am exhausted after reading about it for oh, about a week now.

One final comment on the Gopher situation. If I recall the police report correctly, two guys asked her if she was ok. One of them refusing to participate and then leaving (the other one asking after he had finished. What a swell fella). Chivalry ain't dead, I guess, but it's pining for the fjords pretty damned hard.

Wasn't me.

Doubted the pre-season polls
Anywhere in the top 10 is OK.
When you get 66 placed on your helmet - the 2nd most in school history - after being down 7 at half, some parts are loose somewhere.
Decent comeback though.

Merry Christmas!

I had a pint of Excelsior Spresso Milk Stout the other day.  Oh, man, it is good.  Highly recommended from Duff.  Excelsior is owned by John Klick, SJU '92, to boot!
