Tom Thumb

Looks like former UST assistant coach Mark Kubacki will follow Kilian to St. Olaf.  Kubacki will takeover as the defensive coordinator.

I was driving along this afternoon and TNT by AC/DC came on the radio. It prompted me to do a search for Slave Raider's Win Twins Win cover they did for the '87 World Series. And I found it:

But even better, I found this video, Twins Win: The Story of the 1987 Minnesota Twins.

6 total WMU recruits flipped to the Gophers last night. I watched it happen online and it was exciting because none of them visited the U but will follow Fleck to the Gophers. He is going to change things up in a hurry.

Add: Yes all are 3 stars.
I just read where now it's up to 8 flipped WMU recruits. Claeys had 13 total before he was fired. 3 1/2 weeks until National Signing Day. This could get interesting.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Oz, you're the only person, other than my brother in law, who I've heard reference Slave Raider in at least 20 years!

Ha!  Well, I was a bit of a head banger back in the day.  I spent many a weekend at the Red Carpet getting my hearing adjusted.

One of my (small) disappointments about my time at SJU is that I never went to that band hall about halfway between St Joe and St Cloud. It was a prefab concrete building on the right as you drive toward St Cloud.  I almost went to Starship once but they cancelled before the show. I thought they might sing a couple old Jefferson Airplane tunes and make listening to They Built This City worth the pain. But alas, cancelled.

The Del-Win Ballroom!!!

My wife says that her oldest brother used to drive them around in Mom's minivan making his little twin sisters head bang to Wrecking Machine.

The Del-Win.  That's it.  I can see it like it was yesterday.  Interestingly, as I replay the memories in my mind I'm driving down the left side of the road instead of the right.

You've been in Oz too long!  On your visits back to the States, I hope you are VERY conscious of your driving.  In just the last month we've had three head-on fatal crashes in Michigan by drivers going the wrong way on Interstates.  One of them seems almost certain to have been a suicide (she pulled over, did a U-ey, and proceeded on the wrong way); the woman must have been really f***ed up, as she had her toddler son in the backseat!  She died, so we'll never know the grisly details; her son has survived, she killed one in the other car and left one in critical condition (haven't heard an update on his condition).  The other two cases have been dismissed as driver error (both offending drivers are dead, as, alas, are several other people), but how can one enter a freeway the wrong direction??!!

After getting so used to driving on the left that it has even entered your dreams, driving in the wrong lane on a two-lane highway would be awfully easy to do if you weren't 100% careful!

Um, not only do I promise to pay close attention when I drive, I doubly promise when a toddler is on board. A bit dark there?

Yeah, a bit. ::)

All three incidents were on I-75 (N-S 20 or so miles of their house), which my son (and sometimes his family) drive almost every day.  He has two toddlers and an infant.  I apologize for getting emotional, but this IS really close to home.

What team does everyone think will win tonight?
Alabama University or University of Clemson?
